i needed something to clean the debris on the road in front of the yard and in the driveway. Also was hoping to use this to sweep the large area of pavers in our outdoor entertainment area. I ordered the 52CC model because, well, more power is better! Shipping was typical but the package arrived pretty beat up. When I got around to opening it up and checking the contents, all was there and undamaged. Assembly was relatively straightforward except for the gear box. I had to flip it over after I got it started. Not a big deal. I was a bit surprised at the weight of the assembled piece. Good thing it came with a shoulder strap! I was also glad it came with its own fuel mixing bottle. Being that the mix ratio is 25:1 and all my other equipment (including my boat motor) are 50:1, the bottle definitely came in handy. After filling the tank about halfway, it was time for the first start up and engine break in. I primed the carb until fuel was flowing in the return line, closed the choke, turned the switch on, and gave it a yank. Nothing - as expected. Gave it another yank and it puttered and quit before I could get to the choke. I flipped the choke off and yanked again. The engine fired right up and continued to run. I let it idle to break in a bit while I flipped the gear box over. I exercised the throttle to check response and all was well. Now it was time to test it on the road and driveway. It was a bit awkward at first but did a surprisingly good job. Even the thick sand and stones from the construction next door were no match for it. It handled that with ease. Much better than my ability to easily handle it. I quickly realized how heavy it actually is! This is no lightweight, simple, tool. I recommend getting the wheeled version. So far, I'm impressed and it works quite well. BTW, I don't see how anyone could use this on grass. It is too heavy and awkward to be of much use in the yard. Oh, and don't expect to use it more than about 10 minutes. You'll be worn out by then.

The Great: Its plenty powerful, starts on the 1st to 3rd pull, Plows through gravel!!! Not so Great: The strap is pretty bad, I made my own from Velcro strapping Overall fit and finish isn't great, not tight. I had pretty low expectations but hoped for the best. We are covering the roof in silicone and needed to remove the rock and dirt that was up there for 20 years. This power broom digs in a moves rock and dirt and gravel 4 inches thick in one pass! The shoulder strap design was horrible and overall it isn't the best fit and finish but wow it gets the job done. The pic was about 15 minutes of work and although it isn't ready yet, it cleans the roof quickly. I would definitely buy again. Like most China stuff like this, I am not sure It will be worth keeping after the entire roof is done but I am still hopeful. I may work on making everything tight next.

Save your money. Thing is garbage. Not the products fault, but they didn’t send me correct number of bolts so needed to find my own. Broke on first use where it connects in the middle. Was using to clean rocks from my grass in spring clean up.

Easy to assemble and started right up. Used to remove road gravel from lawn. This unit has lots of power and seems to run reliably. It is a fairly hefty as mentioned in other reviews but it does a lot of work in a short amount of time, if you can hang on. I found the supplied shoulder strap to be a necessity. I like that the direction of brush rotation can be changed. I found the 'throwing dirt towards me' direction much easier to control for the job I was doing. Rotating to push dirt away from you works better for smooth, flat surfaces.

Broke and fell apart as soon as I started to use it. I picked it up by the plastic handle and that snapped off right away. I got a nice 10 minutes of trying it out. Then a couple of days later went to use it and the brush wouldn’t spin. I took it apart and put it back together trying to fix it but still won’t work. I can’t figure out how to return it either

One part was damaged during shipping. It was still usable. They sent me a replacement part and were easy to work with. I used it to put small rock back onto my driveway that gets shoved into the grass areas when plowing snow in the winter. It's kind of heavy and a little cumbersome however it did the trick. A similar Stihl product is around $850. I'll use it for about an hour a year so for 200 bucks with shipping I think it's a pretty good deal.

Assembling it was a bit of a challenge for me, perhaps requiring some experience and skill. That said, the product itself is excellent. I originally bought it to sweep leaves off my lawn, but it arrived just in time for a snowfall. To my surprise, it worked amazingly well for clearing snow off my driveway. For 4 inches snow, I find this sweeper far more convenient than a bulky snow blower
