I bought this for the size of the property — a battery sprayer runs out of both pressure and charge long before I am done, and this gas fogger keeps a strong, far-throwing mist going for as long as there is fuel in the tank. Set to fog, it pushes the spray out in a wide cloud that drifts well past where a pump sprayer would land, which is what I needed for the tree line and the back acreage rather than just the beds near the house. The 3.7-gallon tank covers a serious stretch before a refill, and the throttle lets me dial the output from a fine fog up to a heavier stream depending on what I am treating. It is a gas two-stroke, so it is loud and you mix fuel — I wear ear protection and that is expected for the class. For anyone covering real ground rather than a small yard, the engine power and the fogging distance are exactly the trade I wanted for the noise and the fuel.

First thing I noticed was the spray coverage was very forceful compared to manual pump sprayers I’ve used in the past. We have a very big yard with flower beds, shrubs and fence line sections that require regular treatment and this took care of all of that much faster. I don’t tire myself out pumping pressure by hand all the time. And the backpack design helped more than I thought. Once the straps were in place, the weight was balanced and comfortable enough to wear for extended periods. Of course, when the tank is totally filled it does have some weight to it, but the cushioned straps made it tolerable for me while strolling about the property. Once I got the hang of it, it was simpler to start the engine after the first few usage. The motor performed smoothly and delivered a constant spray pattern without sputtering. I also liked that I can change the spray based on the area I was working on. It did rather well both in larger coverage and more focused spraying around plants.

I’ve used this backpack sprayer a few times now and I can honestly say it has made my job outside much easier. The form of the backpack ensures a more comfortable distribution of weight on my shoulders and back, which is quite important when you consider that spraying large areas might take a lot of time. When the adjustment was complete, we could walk around the yard with a feeling of solidity. I love that the tank capacity is large so I don’t have to keep stopping to fill it. This alone saves a lot of time." I was impressed that the spray had more range than I expected, which was good for spraying around higher plants and fence portions without having to get too near. I listened to the recommendations carefully and the engine started with a greater degree of predictability than I had expected. I was first wary of it, because I do not have much experience with gas-powered equipment, but after the first usage it got a lot less complicated. It’s a really simple control method to utilize on a day-to-day basis at home.

I filled the tank, snapped the lid shut, and lifted the sprayer onto my back, and it felt pretty balanced. Once I started walking through the yard, the pressure kicked in right away and the spray reached across the plants without me needing to slow down. The nozzle responds quickly when I switch angles, so covering different corners of the garden stays smooth. With the protective gear on, the whole job feels simple, and the sprayer handles a big area in one go. It’s a solid tool to finish the work without dragging things out, very efficient and practical.
