Full Disclosure - I bought this for the clamp-ammeter function, mainly so I WOULDN'T have to break into the circuit with my high-end Fluke to measure current. This kept me from having to do that, and was accurate enough for me to troubleshoot/diagnose a home lighting circuit. One of these days I'll probably use it to measure inrush current (lock-rotor amps) on my AC Unit and see how it does. ... show more

I've used voltmeters since the 1950s when I built my first kits. Digital volt and amp meters are the way to go and I bought this meter as it could (purportedly) measure DC amps. For that, this meter seemed to do fine, reflecting the same readings I got on my two other inline amp meters. However, for DC volts, the values skipped up and down as the meter was confused by random DC noise on the circuit. Unlike other devices I got from overseas, this meter had a manual. Too bad the "English" made it hard to understand what I could do to make the readings more stable. I sent it back. ... show more
