Amp clamp does not do DC current!
First off, this kit is awesome if you buy it for the right purpose. Good deal, very high quality equipmemt for the money. I bought it to use it for my college automotive degree without spending the big bucks on the Fluke 88. I was extremely happy with it when i got it, and had no issues until i attempted to use the clamp on a 12v system. While the clamp will do DC VOLTAGE, it will not do DC CURRENT. I did not read carefully enough upon purchase, and the clamp/DMM combo was the only reason i bought the kit. There's no use saving money if you can't use it! Even though i had already thrown away the box and packaging, Amazon did a return for me. I will be shopping Fluke again in the future, quality was not an issue. ... show more

Ease of use and accessories is the reason I bought this one and it worked great this last winter...
Ease of use and accessories make this a must have for a do it yourselfer when it comes to HVAC. Whether you're just checking a flame sensor or diagnosing whether it's a faulty gas valve. In fact, the very reason I bought it was because it has micro amps that can help diagnose the flame sensor. I have also used this in diagnosing and repairing clothes dryers. Mark's Tip: Check the connector on your flame sensor and buy one of those. Then take an alligator clip and some wire and make a connector that you can stick onto your flame sensor and clip the alligator clip onto the test lead. This makes a very safe way to check a flame sensor without having to stick your hand into the furnace. ... show more

Perfect for HVAC technicians
This is an amazingly perfect set of meters for use in HVAC work. It is purposefully designed and has all the ranges and features you want and need. The only things they need to improve this kit are: add the screw on alligator clips for the probes (add a manual for the probes), improve the hang up system with a magnet to allow a hook, provide a second strap for the second thermocouple. Both meters feel great in the hands. The clamp meter feels nicer than the Klein Clamp meter I bought last year. The test leads are very nice. Actually need to replace them due to grounding the red one out between a 480v spade connector and the frame of a RTU, but the prong and the meter kept on doing its job after that event. Not so much for the 60A fuse. The only down side is I wish the clamp meter had a holder for one of the leads to help free up you're hands when doing readings, like the multimeter has. All in all, I will definitely be looking into getting the more expensive units some where down the line. ... show more

Real Fluke
I should have gotten the 117 kit since this one can't measure uA DC. I like the thermocouples and the clamp feature. It wouldn't cost much extra to toss in a couple parts to measure DC... READ the MANUAL before you buy ANY multimeter

Best Multimeter For HVAC
As a HVAC Tech I was looking for an all around good multimeter for everyday use. I know I could have spent more money and gone with another multimeter but this is the one. This combo pack has everything I’ll ever need. I did a 5 year Apprenticeship and had to have specialized schooling as well as on the job training so I’ve come across a good amount of people and their tools in the HVAC trade. Through my career it’s become apparent that most professionals always carry Fluke meters on them so the brand was a no brainer and this combo pack is exactly what it says....
