The item seems to be very sturdy and well made. It is not plug-and-play, which is why I have not yet confirmed its functionality. I expected to plug it into the auxiliary charging port (aka 'cigarette lighter') in my 2004 Honda CR-V, but the short cable would result in a risk of it sliding under my feet while driving. I consulted with a friend, who has significant experience with similar devices. All of his suggestions require me to buy additional components to get the item safely and conveniently situated. When he started talking about the wiring harness, an auto shut-off so the battery won't get drained when not driving, etc., I realized this is not something I can simply plug into the auxiliary charging port and then use. If I go to the effort of getting and configuring the additional parts, and if I then find this item is outstanding, I will upgrade my rating.

This review is for the 750W Inverter Power Inverter 12v to 110v /120V Inverter for car Vehicles Truck Camping Power Converter Adapter with Clamps-Black: 750 Total Watt Inverter 12VDC to 110/120VAC I want to start by saying the size is impressive for the selling price. Right off one would think this is a great deal. So I will dive into this for you and see how good it really is. Package Contents: 1 Manual you will need a microscope to be able to read it 1 750W Inverter (Modified Sine Wave) 1 9" Cigarette Lighter cord with "O"-ring terminals * 1 17" Long Cables with "O"-ring terminals on one end and Alligator clips on the other end 1 28 " Pair of Red/Black Cables with "O"-rings on both ends * We really need to stop calling these "cigarette lighter" . I mean the younger Gen... won't know what we are talking about. It's now an "Auxiliary Port" The Inverter has two USB-A 2A ports said to be "SMART" Where is a USB-C Port? I uploaded some photos but for the life of me I cannot arrange them in an order of explanation. Please use your best guess. The tan box is a home built 50Ah solar storage I built myself. I use a Monitor with a 500 Amp shunt for testing and monitoring performances of battery and power usage. The Inverter with its SHORT cord is in front of it. Testing the Inverter using a 3sp fan, I plugged first the Inverter into the Aux/Port and powered it up. The power monitor shows that the power draw (no fan running) is 6.62 watts and .49 Amps. Next I use a knock-off Watt Meter to measure the voltage the Inverter is putting out at stand still. 118.2V. Not 120VAC but OK. Next I put a load on the Inverter with a fan set on high speed. This is a 120V AC fan. The Watt Meter drops voltage to 117.7VAC with a 23W load. Looking at the power meter now we can see the total amp draw is .74A and wattage is 38.3 total load. Zoom into photo with 117.7 on watt meter and look at the power meter. Now for some safety notes: Do NOT connect more than 150W into the Aux/Port with this inverter. Please use the other cables for that. Other notes reflected in the manual warn against using a modified sine wave inverter with medical equipment. Speaking from experience, its not too good for sensitive electronics either. You will need a full pure sine wave for that. Pros: Size, Cost, Cables, Cons: Short Aux/Port Cable, Manual print size, Voltage Drop It should be noted... At no time did the internal fan come on during my testing. This is probably due to the fact I didn't get it loaded or stressed enough to cause it to come on. So my takeaway at the moment is that it works, its priced well for what it is, and though one cable is too short the others are okay for average use. There is no mention of this product being fused internally or externally. As with all inverters, the stated 750W is total load combined from all outlet power sources on the device. This is a good product if you are just starting out. Have fun with it. Learn from it. At this price I can recommend it.
