I installed this AC in my small home office and it has been working great thus far. Because my office is a relatively small-sized room, I didnβt need a big, powerful machine to cool it. It IS on the second floor though, and it gets afternoon sun that makes it quite hot in the summer. This air conditioner fits my needs perfectly and keeps the room at a steady, comfortable temperature even during the peak of the afternoon heat. For reference, I got the 5,000 BTU model. The installation process was straightforward as an AC can be and much faster than I anticipated. It came with all the necessary mounting hardware and side panels to get a snug fit in my window. I followed the instructions and had it running in no time. One of my favorite features is the remote control because I can adjust the fan speed or temperature from my desk without having to get up and interrupt my work. The digital display is also very clear and easy to read from across the room. It comes with an auto-cool mode which means that the unit handles the fan speeds on its own to maintain whatever temperature you want. It also runs fairly quietly for a window unit which is important when I am on professional calls or trying to focus on a project. I also appreciate the auto-restart function since it saves my settings if I power it off or if an afternoon thunderstorm knocks out power (hasnβt happened yet, thankfully). From an efficiency standpoint I have noticed that it does not seem to draw a massive amount of power. It cycles effectively and does a good job. This is a great little window air conditioner by 'GarveeHome'. It has a really good weight to it, and you can tell that it's very well made with top notch materials; everything from the three prong plug and cord to the window attachment. The accordion window attachment is made from rubber type material instead of the thin plastic that they used to come with. Because of this I believe that there will be little or no brittle breakage over time. This size is perfect for a medium size room, about 12' X 12'. The air that is pushed out is very cold, and there is a temperature control knob and a fan level knob. There are also two vents that you can adjust up or down and slightly to the left and right. It really quiet, but for me it works fine because I always have fan noise on to help me sleep; the Air conditioner sound will just replace it. I especially like the washable screen filter, which is both easy to remove and re-insert. I do believe that this air conditioner will help with cooling the room at night without having to turn the entire house air conditioner to a lower temperature. I like this product and I would recommend it!
