1,000 Watts should be plenty of power for anything you want to run out of your vehicle. I keep this in the trunk of my car, and pull it out to power a larger air compressor, and a few other power tools on work sites. It works really well. It has several USB options, and two 110 plugs. You can also charge up a 12 volt battery and use it as a power station for a good while depending on what your powering. If you're just going to run LED lights off of a 12 volt battery it will run for a very long time. Just realize that if there's not an alternator recharging the battery it will not last forever.

I tried this inverter out with a 450W load (heat gun on low at 150W, and a vintage hair dryer on low at 300W) and it powered everything just fine. The included alligator cables did not become excessively warm. There's also an included cigarette lighter cord for lower wattage (usually 120-150W is the recommended limit) loads. The integrated display shows a rough approximation of battery state-of-charge, and input and output voltages - it does not, however, display wattage consumption (but at this price point, that's to be expected). There also was the some mostly unobtrusive fan noise when the inverter was under heavy load. My only nit to pick with the design was that the AC outlets did not hold the plugs fully inserted. Regardless of how firmly I attempted to press them in, they still sprung back out roughly 1/16th of an inch. Otherwise, everything worked as expected for a modified sine wave inverter and I feel confident using it for backup power during outages.

This works as advertised. I have used this to plug into my car lighter plug and it works great to plug things in around the car while traveling. So far I can only use while driving because my car design is so that I can't get to both battery posts. So I will need to get a small battery to hook it to so I can use it out of the car. The inverter came with everything I needed and was easy to figure out, great instructions included. I love that I can plug things with a 110 in to this as to not only use the USB type chargers. Sometimes I have more people with needs for chargers in the car than the inverter has and this is very nice. I look forward to getting a battery to hook this up to for other use.

This great 300 what inverter is a perfect choice for camping trips or even road trips. It is lightweight and easily transportable. This has not overheated at all!! This provides us with an outlet suitable for small appliances I believe if you get this item, you will not be disappointed, it is pretty straightforward and exactly as the item is posted. Here is my honest opinion on this item: Excellent - If I absolutely love the product and it exceeds my expectation, I will actively suggest the product to my friends and would purchase it again myself as needed. Less than Excellent - I really like this item and it does what the seller claims it would do. I would more than likely recommend it to someone if I knew they were looking for that product. Sub Standard- This item is standard and for the most part does exactly what they say it does, but I would specify any differences. There may be things about a three star rating that I don’t like about the product. If I knew someone were looking for that specific item and I recommend it to them, I would also share with them the reservations that I have. Not so great - I take low ratings seriously. I also take seriously issues with items after you have spent good money on them. In this case, I would probably never recommend anything that I would rate two stars on, in fact, I would probably warn people so they would shy away from buying this item. You might want to find something else - It takes some serious issues to get a one star review from me. A bad product would do it though!
