Impressed with this collection! The quality looks comparable to DMC. I normally get kits with thread; but my husband purchased a pattern for me to cross-stitch that didn’t include thread. It requires 76 different colors. And this kit contains every single color I need. If your project requires a lot of colors, or you cross stitch often, this kit is great.

Love this thread! They use the same numbering as DMC thread. The color is a little off but similar enough that your project won’t suffer for it. I will definitely be buying this again.

I am updating my review after using this thread for 6 months on several projects. I cannot tell the difference on my cross stitch, embroidery, or slow stitching projects from dmc. I saw one reviewer comment that the thread she recieved was polyester. My thread received was absolutely cotton. The thread has a nice sheen , but not quite as high of sheen as dmc. But i do mostly primitives and reproductions so it is perfect. The modern projects i have done, i sat mine side by side with a friends who used an expensive designer. thread , mine looked the same as hers. I have placed the same color of this thread side by side and there was no difference. I experimented and stitched with them on the same product. Using various colors. It stitched the same as dmc. The only difference i can see is in this thread vs the hand dyed threads how they varigate so beautifully. So far no replacement found for those. As a senior retiree on a fixed income, the cost of cross stitch supplies has gotten to the point i may have to look for another hobby. Being able to get this thread at such a great price will definitely help. Now, if only i can source 100 percent cotton and laguna at a decent price. I have several patterns and i cannot afford the fabric i want for them. If i could find cross stitch linen and laguna of decent quality i would overdye it myself. If i could simply find something affordable. Right now its 80 to 140 dollars a yard. It is really inexcusable to have any fabric priced that high. Thank you for having this great floss at a price so many of us can keep practicing our hobby/art.

It's really EVERYTHING. Every color, plus variegated. I've used this floss for years and it works great. The 500 pack is packed in numerical order, so you can unpack them carefully and lay them out. I was able to pick 30 skeins for 6 projects in 15 minutes. Then I'm using skewers and rubber bands to clip skeins in numerical order. It's a lot. I'll never need floss again.

Everyone knows DMC is the gold standard, but these are very good. Especially considering DMC is .60 and these average out to .10. Color match is great just not as silky.

I bought these on a whim, knowing that I could return them if they were awful. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. In comparison to DMC threads, they are not quite as smooth or shiny, but have around the same strength and the shades are so close that is very difficult to tell the difference from the DMC. If I were doing a commission piece or planning on selling the project, I'd probably use DMC still. But if you primarily do cross-stich/embroidery for yourself or to give as gifts, these are perfect--especially at a penny a skein!
