I bought these on a whim, knowing that I could return them if they were awful. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. In comparison to DMC threads, they are not quite as smooth or shiny, but have around the same strength and the shades are so close that is very difficult to tell the difference from the DMC. If I were doing a commission piece or planning on selling the project, I'd probably use DMC still. But if you primarily do cross-stich/embroidery for yourself or to give as gifts, these are perfect--especially at a dime a skein! ... show more

It's really EVERYTHING. Every color, plus variegated. I've used this floss for years and it works great. The 500 pack is packed in numerical order, so you can unpack them carefully and lay them out. I was able to pick 30 skeins for 6 projects in 15 minutes. Then I'm using skewers and rubber bands to clip skeins in numerical order. It's a lot. I'll never need floss again. ... show more

Love this thread! They use the same numbering as DMC thread. The color is a little off but similar enough that your project won’t suffer for it. I will definitely be buying this again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It said it was cotton, but it is polyester. I’m disappointed in companies that falsely advertise. Cotton is not the same thing as polyester. The embroidery floss is good if you want polyester floss. If you want cotton floss, you will be disappointed.
