I ordered this for my son's 6th Mario themed birthday party. The material is like thick felt. I used duct tape and hung on a glass door wall since my son's party was outside. It stayed put the whole party. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the sticky tape dots used to hang the mustaches on the picture were a little time consuming for the little kids to peel off the backings( like a sticker - but tiny). If ordering, I would suggest peeling the sticky dot backing off prior or just rolling duct tape on each mustache.

I love retro handhelds. I reviewed this one along with a couple of G5 game consoles which were running the same software. As far as single player experience, this one was the best of the three. The two player experience was not. The 2nd player controller is garbage and almost unusable. If you are looking at this mainly for the two player experience, look elsewhere. The games: This is basically an NES in your pocket. It says 500 games but there are many repeats. It is probably closer to 200 games but i didnt count them all. FYI, no Zelda games. Some games are re-skins of other games (i.e.Super Mario 6 looks like a Tiny Toons game with a Mario skin on the main character). Emulation ranged from okay to great on the games I tested. Some games ran at twice the speed (Super Mario Bros). Others ran just fine. The build: DISPLAY: Of the 3 systems i have in this category, this screen was the smallest but also the best. I reviewed two G5 systems that had different qualities. One didn't look great and the colors were muddy and flat (system on the left in the pictures), the other G5 (system in the middle) had graphics that were much sharper with more texture and colors. The colors were a little over-saturated on this G5, but the weird thing was when I tilted the system to the left, the screen got brighter and the screen had issues with it getting brighter when tipped to the left causing my brain to struggle to resolve the difference between my two eyes as my right eye was seeing a brighter, less saturated image than the left one. This system had the nicer colors and textures of the middle system without the oversaturation and weird screen issues. CONTOLS: D-pad surprisingly was pretty accurate. There was some bleed in direction isolation but not bad and I had to shift position on the dpad direction mote than i would normally do playing at game. It felt comfortable though. The convex buttons felt nice on the fingers and didn't cause any issues in my limited playtime. The volume wheel on the unit was really stiff and clicked through the rotation which I didn't like. I prefer the volume wheel on the G5 units which were smooth. Definitely a feature I would sacrifice as this handheld felt better to play on overall. SIZE: Size wasn't bad. It is slightly larger than a miyoo mini plus. It is very light though making me think they could have made it smaller. Definitely fine for larger hands though. The two player experience: I did plug this into a TV and hooked up the second controller with a little Contra action. This is where the system falls flat because the second player controller is garbage. To start, the cord enters in on the right side of the controller and is very short. If you are used to sitting to the right of player one, you now have shortened your sitting distance even more. The controller d-pad and buttons are very mushy. I often wasn't moving because I wasn't pressing the direction with enough force which was significantly greater than I use on any other controller. One of the buttons (which is a turbo button for the regular button) didn't work at all no matter how hard I pressed. The cords to plug in to the TV are short too. So unless you have av connector extensions and controller extensions, expect to sit really close to the TV and player two. The annoying: So every time you turn it on or reset, you have to select the language. Super annoying. The theme music on the menu screens are also super annoying. No music on the menu screens would have been the best. I'm really surprised they did that. It definitely hurts the experience. The surprises: The speaker is surprisingly loud and sounds decent all things considering. Overall Definitely the best of the three systems for single player. The two player experience is barely usable.
