This fireplace is pretty with several colors and a remote, and the heat comes out a top strip which is nice. The “wood” could be more realistic with defined logs, and the flames move too fast. I haven’t tried the crystals. For us, we wanted to insert it into our fireplace, so it’s a bit of a challenge we haven’t yet conquered. When it says wall mount, it means it! It needs to go in an existing hole with adequate support, so you would have to be ready to cut that out and have it ready. We will have to build something, not sure what yet, to make it work in our fireplace, so it’s still sitting on our floor below our TV stand. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We are having a carpenter build a custom fireplace for us in our master bedroom. I’ve been looking at faux fireplace/ heaters for a long time and settled on this one. Its the perfect size, has multiple color settings and also works as a real heater and works by remote. There are timer settings up to 8 hours and you can choose to run without heat (and choose the temp) or keep off. When you turn the heat off- there os a cooling fan that lowers the temp quickly so its not hot. All the other areas stay cool to the touch. One thing I really liked about this one is the option to have the wood look AND the glass looking crystals. Both absorb the light and look glowing and reflective. Crystals are great option if you want your fireplace to look more modern. We have a real gas fireplace so I personally like the modern look of this one and the cool and relaxing color combo options and realistic looking flames. ... show more

This 50" unit replaced a similar sized Gibson electric fireplace that was very noisy and had burnt out lights after maybe 20 hrs of use. This one arrived quickly, well packaged, and installed easily. It has realistic flames, and is very very quiet when the heater fan is on. Remote works well, and the thermostat is a nice feature. I bought this as a backup plan after we had to tear down our original wood fireplace chimney and firebox and found that no gas fireplace units would fit in the existing opening. Honestly, I'm super happy with the look and operation of this thing. It's fairly realistic when the color is set to red/orange and will put out 750/1500W of heat of needed. The fan is pretty quiet (just like a small space heater) as well. The various optional colors of flames are fun too, my wife loves the blue/green blend. Remote is simple and effective with separate button for each function that will cycle through the options. The media could not be loaded. Love the heater! Lots of color options. The heat output is better than I expected. Over all its worth the price they're asking. NOTE: if inserting this into your wall the hole you cut out has to be tight. Other wise you will see a gap on the top and bottom... for som reason the glass only covers the 2 sides. It's flush with the unit on top and bottom.. engineering flaw. ... show more
