Easy installation and super robust joint. I had a different more expensive per foot hose for my pressure washer and it would always kink which is infuriation when you're in climbed up to reach high places. I got this hose because I thought the stainless steel finish would be more attractive for my wife's flower garden at the front of our home's entrance, where visitors first come into the house. It fits the bill and looks "classy" v. a rubber hose. Beyond that it actually "works". Not a gimmick hose but something that is surprisingly light and easy to move around and is flexible. It doesn't "kink up" like the previous hoses (rubber and plastic) that were previously used and it is flexible and coils readily onto the hose holder we already had. All metal fittings make it sturdy and not "cheap" and I get the impression that it is going to hold up for quite some time. A big plus is that it seems to be "chew-proof" and "safe" from my wife's chomping Shih Tzu puppy Oudie. He ate the leg of the potting table but I think he's met his match with this. ... show more

Got this for our camp gear . Been looking for a heavy duty hose that did not take up a lot of space but was strong enough to handle taking a beating , THIS IS IT !!!!! The ends are heavy duty brass , with heavy duty collers behind them , the ENTIRE hose is wrapped in stainless steel and the hose can not be cut or kinked !!! You just could not ask for a better product to use on a camp site , or even a job site !! Great quality , great durability , and great price !!!! ... show more

I had been looking at garden hose for some time. The Stainless-Steel Garden Hose fits my needs. It is well-built seemingly heavy duty but also light weight. It will need to be pulled across my deck each day to water summer plants. The one I had wound up using was difficult to pull and awkward to use. This is most manageable, so I am pleased. I liked that “it will lay flat, resist kinks, can coil easily and store effortlessly.” Storage is not a problem, but flexibility and kinks have been in previous garden hose, so this one is just what I wanted. My husband was impressed with the brass fittings commenting that they were excellent quality. The price is reasonable for a well-made garden hose. ... show more

    • Good, solid hose
I like that this hose has brass connections. The cheaper ones have plastic or aluminum and will not last. The aluminum connections are especially bad, as they will react with other metals and corrode in place. This hose, with its brass connections is just right. The length is appropriate for a greenhouse or a small garden where you might have a close-by water source. While this hose is clad in a stainless steel housing, it will crush, so you have to be careful not to run it over with anything heavy and try not to step on it. The hose is very easy to handle and coil. I expect it to last a long time. The hose comes with two extra washers and some latex pipe tape. I guess I'll use the tape on some pipe fittings, don't think you need it with the garden hose threads. ... show more

    • Not bulky
At first I was worried that this hose would be too bulky but it's very light and flexible. I've come to realize that the metal rings resist sharp bends. That's how it doesn't kink. There's still an underlying hose. The whole thing is light enough that I believe the rings are thin and thus easily bendable. I'll take special care not to run over it with my car. This hose is susceptible to the standard things that would affect normal hoses such as freezing damage and even overpressure. It can be kinked if you put some real pressure on the bend. most likely, such a kink will be permanent too, so just be gentle with it. The hose tips aren't special, they connect just fine and use the standard washers. If I could recommend to anyone, don't go for length with this kind of hose. Get to your ideal size in sections so you can swap and replace damaged parts. ... show more

I assumed this was a 5/8" hose, it doesn't say anywhere in the listing that I could find. In actuality it appears to be a 1/2 inch hose. I was going to take off a star for that, but it isn't really a reflection on the product but on the way it it advertised, so I didn't. That isn't the end of the world for a hose this short and for my intended purpose but it would be nice to know the advertised diameter before buying it. It is exceedingly flexible, light and will store in my motorhome nicely. It does not specify if it is drinking water rated but I am using it for tank rinse water so it doesn't matter for me. It has heavy brass fittings not the cheap brass colored thin ones that are made of something...not brass. ... show more
