I can't describe the variety of games because of the huge number of games available. But I can say that set has a plenty of choice to match your interests. Of course, if you are in a living room and used to the latest tv technology combined with smart features, then you have wrong expectations. But if you put this in the right setting you will get the retro- and arcade experience. The best part is that it comes with two controllers so you can play competitive or team games. The instructions are straight-forward and it's quick to set up. You will need 2 AAA batteries for each controller to begin. Make sure you read the instructions to start it properly. I was too eager to start it, and if you are like me, just know that it definitely works and there is nothing wrong with the controller.

The media could not be loaded. Great idea for long road trips. We were planning a long trip for the kids and they always complain about their tablets dying. This allowed us to plug into the car entertainment system and play games to pass the time. It was great seeing my kids play the retro games from Mario to Contra, this was a great throwback for me. It was easy to navigate through the titles. The controllers connect with ease. It is rather compact and easy to setup. Overall a great idea and I am happy I purchased it, the only drawback is the thickness of the plastic the controllers are made of are thin making me think it could break easily if dropped. My kids love it though!

It was so much fun to play so many games I played when I was younger. Mario Brothers, Tetris, Donkey Kong, the list goes on! My husband spent 10 minutes searching for many different games and they were all on there and he was so excited. It connects easily via hdmi and USB for power. The controllers need 2 AAA batteries and are a little hard to get used to for someone like me who only played with an old school Nintendo controller but I'll figure it out :)

We bought this for our camper to entertain the kids and it was totally worth the money. The kids found lots of games they liked and it kept them from complaining all the time. I liked that it's compact and I didn't have to drag a bunch of extra cords and games along. We didn't need wifi to use it. It us staying in the camper and we're thinking of getting another one for teips with hotel rooms.

I got this for the oncoming holiday, with family we always play some kind of video games together and I wantes to see what this was like. The setup was super easy, the included HDMI extender really helped with getting the device plugged into my TV. The unit itself is pretty thick so I don't think it would fit otherwise. It really does have thousands of games, I didn't think it would. I am impressed with the variety of games as well. Some games are not in English, and it's not usually clear which are and which aren't until you select one. Additionally in some games the content will have slight input delay, or not accept any input. Overall there is a huge selection of games I mainly got it to play king of fighters and that one works great!

Got this set up in minutes and was surprised by how smooth everything worked right out of the box. Once it was plugged into the TV, the game menu came right up and I was playing within seconds. It’s got that nostalgic vibe but with a cleaner setup, no complicated steps or weird tech issues. Perfect for when friends come over or even just to unwind solo after work. Definitely brings back memories in the best way.

DO NOT BUY!!!!! The graphics are not that great, along with some of the popular games do not work. For example we tried playing twisted metals and it did not work. Definitely not happy with the purchase which I'm sure you will not see this honest review.

I love this little device it lets me play classic games. So far I'm having a lot of fun. It was very easy to set up I just plug it into the power then plug it into the TV and then it loaded. Then just put batteries in the controller and you can start playing. I'm enjoying it a lot so far.
