This come along works well, and is pretty inexpensive. It's always great to have one of these on hand when trekking around, and this is just as easy to use as any other come along. I haven't ran into any issues to note so far, as it seems to be durable.

I do not recommend this item, it did not work properly, the cable release button was offset so it took two of us to push it aside to get the cable to release, and the ratchet system was a disaster. It took two of us 2 hours to get a riding lawn mower on a trailer. It's useless, and a waste of money. The cable fully extended was about 4 feet, we had to get a chain to get it long enough to winch the lawn mower up onto the trailer. It had no instructions, so it took a bit to realize we couldn't get it to work because it was really poor quality. Needless to say I returned it.

Great come-along for when you need it. Good build quality, solid weight, and easy to use. Soft fabric ends are included for easy attachment to whatever you need to attach this to, be it tree or bumper, etc.. If you're off-roading or driving in snow, this is a great thing to carry along just in case.

Because I buy, repair, and sell tractors, I have a lot of come alongs, winches, and chain vaults. This one is the same as my other 2 ton come alongs. For light work, a cable come along is my go to. For things like pulling apart a hydraulic cylinder, pulling a tractor apart and back together when changing a clutch, etc. In fact, I usually grab one of them first, then if it seems I need to go bigger I grab a chain vault. I prefer them because they are quick, light, and easy to work with. It only takes a second to pull out as much cable as you need. A chain vault is much heavier and clumsy to work with and you have to unwind it the same way you winf the chain in which is very slow. The 2 straps are a nice add-on. It's usually a hassle finding a place to attach the hooks and I usually wind up using a chain which is still a bit of a hassle because of the hooks on the ends. These straps will slide in most places and make hooking up a lot easier. I definitely recommend this. Great item!
