This is great for smaller bakers. I started baking a bit more so I wanted to save my arms a little pain before buying a larger machine. The only issue that I have is that the hand mixer preferring super fragile and is more tailored for children who enjoy baking. One of the whisk pieces broke yesterday while I was mixing my wet ingredients for my cookie batter so I'll have to look for a replacement smh. I've only had this thing for a week and I feel betrayed. The bowls are the perfect size though. Small spatula helps remove stick on batter. The handheld lemon juicer was a pleasant surprise because I didn't see that listed. the bowls are surprisingly well made. I only use them for mixing (they are mixing bowls, after all) so them being lightweight or flimsy is a total non-issue in my mind. if you somehow bend them, well... I'm not really sure what you're doing, but you're probably doing it wrong. they're well finished, smooth, and behave as bowls should. that being said, I'm not a fan of the proportions. they're broad and shallow, which is the exact opposite of what I look for. if you have to stir with any kind of vigor it's far more likely to splash your kiss the cook apron than with a deeper bowl with higher walls. this is a personal preference, but it should be noted. I haven't had a reason to use the lids outside of test-fitting, but they're stiff, hard to attach, and I worry about them cracking under relatively little force. the measuring spoons and cups, however, are an entirely different story. they're absolute hot garbage. the first thing you notice after removing them (both the cups and spoons) from the plastic is the edges. they're incredibly course feeling, with rough, jagged edges. while that MAY not be immediately disqualifying as it doesn't technically impact their purpose, it just lends to the feeling of being blindingly cheap. the finish is terrible. I bent the spoons like I was Uri Geller. I haven't washed them yet, but reading other reviews talking about rust I don't think I'll bother. just straight into the trash. oh, and the whisk was made for ants. it is comically small. although I see it making quick work of a single egg yolk. basically, this is a set of solid bowls with a bunch of useless accessories tossed in. I give it three stars because one of the reasons I chose this set over other competitively prices sets was the extras, but they proved to be useless. the lids are better replaced by cling-wrap, which is very affordable. but the bowls really do feel solid, and create a space in which you can mix things. isn't that all you need? ... show more
