I love this compressor. Followed the instructions and mounted it outside my building adacent to my paint room. This compressor is a beast. The silent air package keeps it nice and quiet too. It's used exclusively for my HVLP painting of furniture. The compressor will provide enough air for 30 seconds of uninterrupted spraying and the huge tank means I can spray continuously as needed. The company offers a liftime pump warranty if you signup for auto ship maintenance kits. This simplifies maintenance for me as well as giving me peace of mind that the company stands behind their product. It's made in USA from high quality components too. Nice compressor. Unlike the rest of the eMax compressors, it’s a little cheaper because the motor is not a BAldor and pump is also from the same manufacturer( Airbase) as the motor. I believe the motor and pump is made in USA in OH but not sure. Some of the specs on this is wrong, it’s 25 full load amps not 32. It’s a TEFC motor, so it’s totally enclosed and fan cooled, what some people call farm duty. It’s a beefy motor, probably weighs 100lbs. 2 belts, and came with a 1 inch discharge port. Not 60 decibels! Bull spit! More like 78-79 at 3 feet inside a building. Maybe outside it might be quieter. When I got it, the magnetic starter was wired wrong. Some1 screwed up, so had to download a Manuel from eatoncompressor.com since no docs came with it. Used 8 gauge wire. Recommend to go with a 40amp breaker (5hp model) but I think a 30 amp and 10 gauge would be ok., but I’m no electrician. Don’t use the 12 gauge wire. Motor is very torqueeeee so you can see it shake the top of the compressor when on while the feet are anchored to the floor and vibration pads installed. Major cons; none , minor cons, crappy color, crappy cheap looking hulk sticker decal. Took it off. Magnetic starter/thermal overload protector made in China. ... show more

Compressor arrived in a protective angle iron 'cage' that securely mounted the unit to the shipping pallet and protected the unit in shipment..very impressive!. Unit is very well made and of substantial materials and workmanship.

This compressor has been a workhorse for over three years now. I use it for a lot of DA sanding, grinding, and other hard use. It takes it like a champ runs away slightly less quietly in the shop. It is NOT whisper quiet as the box says, but it is definitely less loud than without the “muffler.” The motor will torque the whole compressor when starting, even bolted to the floor with pads. It seems to be a quality motor. I have my compressor on heavy casters now and it puts much less vibration into the floor. It was shipped bolted to a solid pallet with a heavy angle iron cage around it. Much better than expected and it survived being winched and picked off the truck without issue. As others have said, it came wired wrong and I had to have a friend help me rewire it. Other than that, I have had no problems with it and If you can find one, pick it up. ... show more
