Update *** Company reached out to me and offered to send a new safe for free. They also explained that the power port for the battery backup was at the bottom of the control panel. After looking, I did discover the port - on the bottom - completely hidden from view. Not sure why there is an empty hole (pictured above) but the port for the battery backup is not missing as earlier noted. I will have to agree with some of the other reviews. There are several issues with this item. I had checked the reviews before purchasing so I knew of the potential of issues ahead of time but I figured I would go ahead and purchase anyways. I don't have a lot of money to spend on a heavy duty gun safe that will take hours for a blowtorch to cut through so I purchased this one. As mentioned in another review, the screws holding the material to the inside of the door has rust in them. How it got there is a mystery since there is no other evidence of water - no stains, arust, or smell. Second, the port to plug in the battery backup unit is missing so now the battery backup unit they sent with the safe is of no use except to be tossed in the trash and end up in a landfill somewhere. The unit is definitely not a very heavy metal. I did not want to use the big expansion bolt drywall anchors they supply so I drilled holes in the back that aligned with a stud and used 3 inch screws. It took no time at all to drill through the metal back. But again, foe the price.... I didn't not necessarily purchase it for a proper gun safe but more as a cabinet/locker to keep my guns cleaner so not as much dust will collect on them. Other than that, it seems like a decent gun locker.

Decent secure gun cabinet. If you just want to lock up your guns and ammo so they're out of reach from children this will be sufficient. Will hold 4 long guns easily without the second shelf. Came in sturdy packaging no scuffs or dents. Fully assembled. Add batteries and good to go.

Holds 5-6 maybe 7 long guns if you’re creative and has 3 pouches for hand guns. Keeps your guns away from the kids. Wouldn’t survive a fire or flood (I didn’t expect it to). I do wish the light stayed on a bit longer but it was easy to put together and its sturdy and a good value!

So far this thing is having mechanical issues I put the batteries in and the LED light isn't lighting up it's doing this weird flicker the digital pad on the outside won't even light up to let me set a passcode so this is looking like a $200 metal box that I have to use a freaking key for if I want to use it. I read alot of reviews amd this seemed to be a winner. A couple bad ones and i thought " what are the chances i get a bad one? Why not?" And here we are. Im hoping i hear back from these guys because i could have bought a mossy oak from Walmart that hold 2x more and for less money. My hope is that i get to retract this review with them making it right.
