These brackets are thick, well reinforced, and literally very heavy. I could not lift the box by myself but rather had to use a hand truck. I ordered them in order to frame an outdoor shower and changing enclosure next to my barn, and realized that these brackets were overkill for my project, but I used them anyway. I built it on a wooden platform rather than pouring a small slab. These brackets make framing your structure very simple. I used 4X4's for the uprights, and because I already had enough, two 2X4's for the horizontal pieces. Because of the actual dimensions, the brackets had an extra half inch in one dimension when I used the 2X4's. I was careful to leave the gap on the same side so they'd look uniform if someone happens to look up. One thing is for sure, this shower isn't going anyplace in any weather! I recommend this bracket set.

...We are still in recovery mode from hurricane damage, and this will make rebuilding my container plant open air greenhouse so much easier. The original one actually made it through the storm well, but when the tree removal was being done, it was knocked down. We built it 30 years ago and it has held many orchid plants, potted amaryllis, crotons and other plants I have propagated over the years. I have the plans written down now that I have the braces. These are sturdy, include bolts, screws and drives to use with my drill to further speed up assembly. Even have a marker to mark the lumber pieces with! The only sad part will be that the amazing tree (base trunk 4 foot) that shaded the structure is gone, so it will require a shade screen top to protect the plants from sunburn. (PS. managed to save irrigation system, will have to replace some lines)

This set is very heavy with all of the pieces in the box. The quality is extremely good. If you want to build a pergola then this is the easiest way to do it. Whether you want a 8x16, 10x16, 10x20 or any size in between or larger, you can do it. Want to attach a lean to for your existing out building, this will work. Shucks you could probably enclose it and have an out building. It may even work for a greenhouse. Just make sure you have some help when erecting it. The weight of 4x4 lumber is not light. Previously on another build I was able to build the sides and top on the ground and with some help I was able to lift the other end to install the other legs. It is a very fast build compared to other construction types.

Product: 4x4 Pergola Bracket Kit Brand: KABMOZ I have been dreaming of using metal connectors like this to build a structure at my ranch for literally years. I have often gone to a local builders supply store to run my eyes and fingers over the components they sell. The problem: it would cost over $1000 US for all the components that came in this box—and I would still have to purchase structural lumber on top of that. As a result, this project has stayed in the dreaming stage for me. Until I ordered this kit, however. These components are similar to those, very solid and well made, and just a fraction of the price.

This set of 4 X 4 pergola brackets arrived well protected using custom cut foam as well as polystyrene inserts, all within a generic looking, branded box. The components of the pergola kit are made of solid metal with a weather resistant finish. All of the welds I inspected appeared clean and consistent, as though they were welded by a computerized machine. The hardware included with this kit appeared to be constructed of quality material and are sufficient for the job at hand. Overall, I recommend this kit.

I haven’t actually put this to use yet. Looking at them, they look like high quality parts that is well packaged. They give you all that you need except the wood to put a pergola together. The two hex screw/bolt bits have a magnet in the center to hold the screws in place. I’m not sure why, but the screw holes seem to be on adjacent sides instead of across from each other. Looks like they are placed so that they will not hit each other though. I had a piece of an old 4x4 beam and it fit nicely to one of the parts. Overall, I am impressed with the quality.
