Just from the short while that I've used it this light puts out an impressive amount of light. The magnetic base clings very well to vertical surfaces. The light comes with a charge cable and base stabilizer for standing it up on non-magnetic surfaces. I used it for several hours under the hood of my tractor on the lowest setting and it still had 88% left in the charge state. It charges with USB-C so likely your phone charger will work. The body is made of aluminum and the light head is plastic with tension adjusting screws. Over all I would say that it's sturdily built. When folded it's about 6.5" long and 13" extended. I find myself not only using it as an automotive work light but also as a desk light for reading and lighting my keyboard on my laptop. I would buy it again and might just for gifts. I really like this light. I hope you like yours if you buy it too.

I'm so happy to finally have a digital battery indicator on one of these folding bar lights. I had been using the Braun light from Harbor Freight, which only takes an 18650 battery, and it's button would turn red at like 75% and it wouldn't start flashing until it was almost dead. I hated that so much. Finally, FINALLY I have a digital battery readout that actually works good. It stays on as long as the light is on and seems to exactly match the battery voltage. It slowly goes down until it gets to zero, then it blinks zero for like 3 seconds and the light turns itself off. At that point I measured the battery voltage and it was at 2.92 volts. Perfect. It also stays on while it's charging so you can see the exact charge status. And it shows a little green lightning bolt that blinks. It does work while it's on but I really don't think that's a good idea. Maybe you could use the low mode but I would just charge it since you have two. This is just such a huge relief for someone like me who's particular about battery capacity and health. It might drain faster from 100 to 90 and last longer in the lower voltages but that's the battery. The digital readout appears to be perfectly accurate. And it's readable in very bright light. Other than that it is a cheap light. All the lights like this are cheap. It's well constructed out of aluminum and the hinges are durable plastic. The LED bar is aluminum. There's one other light like this on Amazon that takes a 21700 battery. It has that gold ring around the top. If you've looked around at all you've seen it. I tried that one too but returned it. It's the same price as these TWO. It has a few nice features this one doesn't and it looks fancy but it's the same quality on the inside. It'd branded Hotligh. Both of these lights have some kind of direct driver so it doesn't regulate the voltage. They both have a programmed timed stepdown in brightness. After about a minute they start to dim automatically whether you're in high medium or low. It doesn't dim all the way down, just to about medium. Then it does hold that brightness very well for a long time. Also, this light comes with 4000mAh batteries. The light bar gets really hot in high mode until it starts to dim itself down. However, I have my own 21700 batteries that are 5000mAh and when I use them the light bar does NOT get hot but it's still bright. Something about the direct drive and the internal resistance of the battery. The lower capacity battery must have a higher maximum output but the difference in brightness isn't really noticeable. Something to think about. They should have included a 5000mAh battery. My protected cell fits just fine, there's big fat springs on both sides of the battery. The instructions say to only use a 1 amp charger. That's nonsense. Any device that charges will pull only the amps it needs. The only bad thing to do is use an underpowered charger, then the charger could get hot. This charges at 1 amp just fine no matter what I plug it into, even my phone's fast charger. And I have a USB tester to prove it. With the 4000mAh batteries the light will run for about 4 hours on high. With my own 5,000mAh batteries it goes down to 20% after 4 hours. That's if you don't turn it on and off the whole time. Because every time you turn it on it will go back to full brightness. It's not temperature regulated, it's time based. So you can keep turning it off and on to make it reset to full brightness. It only runs at this full brightness for a minute or two, not sure, so I'm not sure how that affects runtime. Like I said, the Hotligh folding light has this timed step down too so it's not really a negative. It's just the way it has to be. It can't sustain that turbo boost indefinitely. My Braun light from Harbor Freight is just a flat 500 lumens I think, and this light is tons brighter but after the timed stepdown it's the same as the Braun. The Braun just doesn't have that initial turbo boost so I see the turbo as a plus. Almost every high end flashlight does this. They'll have a turbo mode that only lasts for a minute or two then it automatically goes back down, although it's usually temperature based. This one is automatic time based but it works the same. The button clicks through high, medium, low, strobe, SOS, tip light, and flashing red tip light. The strobe and SOS is dumb but it's not really a hassle because it clicks straight to off after ten seconds. If you've used the light for less than ten seconds you can always hold the button down for 3 seconds to turn it off. No mode memory which is fine since high is what you'll be using anyways. The light is a pretty neutral white light I think. I'm not too snobby about color temperature but I definitely don't want weird green or blue tints and these are good. I do like a warmer light but these are still a good neutral bright white. It's a lot smaller than the Hotligh which is really cool. It's the exact same size as the Braun actually except a little thicker to accommodate the larger battery. Very happy with the size. The magnet in the base is super strong like it's supposed to be. There's no magnet in the tip. The light unscrews in three places. The bottom comes off. The head comes off. And the ring that holds the folding part down comes off the head. None of these threads have glue in them which is really cool. You can take the ring off and get at the wires in case you need to solder one back on. Or you could turn the bar around so the button faces the other way. There's notches in the folding part so you can only flip it 180. I did that so I can see the digital battery indicator easier. The button is flat and rubber, not easily pressed on accident. You have to press it pretty firmly. And you can adjust the tightness of the folding parts with screws. Or take them apart. Very happy with these lights. Great deal getting two of them for 40 bucks. This would be a perfect deal for mechanics or someone who needed to use it all day long. When one runs out just plug it in and grab the next one. But I can't tell you how nice it is having these digital battery indicators. No more guessing. No more wondering. Now I know exactly how much juice is left so I can decide whether to plug it in or not. Thanks so much for finally making these. In case you've never had a light similar to these, there is no possible way to make a handier light. The way it puts out a 180 degree wall of light and folds any way you need it, combined with the magnet, means you'll be grabbing this one for everything. You'll even use it as a desk lamp when you're working on something small. Just find something metal to stick it on. I make my own base so they can stand up on their own. I wrap some self stick rubber splicing tape around the battery cap. It's not electrical tape, it's a special thick moldable rubber tape. But you could just stick something metal on the bottom. They won't stand up on their own if the light is bent at 90 degrees so you have to have some kind of base. But yeah, by far the most useful lights I've ever had. Something about them being long makes them 10x more useful, and then they fold in half so you can stick it in your pocket or tool bag. Anyways. Good deal thank you. My biggest complaints are that medium and low mode also have a timed step down in brightness. That's totally unnecessary. In high mode it's fine because it's really a turbo mode that goes down to high and it dims down so slowly it's unnoticeable. Also the strobe and SOS is annoying if you want to get to the tip light. Other than that these are just like the Braun except brighter, more battery capacity, and with a digital battery display. And the button is a lot harder to press accidentally. Very happy with them and I'll be sure to update if they ever break. It's now November 20th, 2025. :)

I needed a good sturdy and somewhat compact work light and I found it with this light. First off, I feel stupid when the lights magnet wasn’t staying put. I’m like this magnet sucks. Nope. It works great. You have to remove the plastic stand that comes with the light. With it on the magnet barely works. So this light is perfect. It is very bright for engine work. It is made very sturdy and robust. The magnet is plenty strong. I highly recommend this light. I think you to will be happy with your purchase as I am. Cheers

Very versatile work light. Easy to monitor battery life with digital percent display. The light head flips out but doesn't swivel or rotate, you need to move entire light to aim but the magnetic base makes it very easy to get light where you need it.

Looked at several similar ones including Icon and was not impressed. Most have medium to poor reviews. Was tentative about this one but decided to try it. This is the one you want to own. Light is adjustable both for intensity and angle. Magnetic base is strong so it stays where you put it. Have used it several hours on medium and still has over half power left. A plus is the led in the end as you can put in a tight space to light up something you cannot get a light to. The unit is a little heavy but this is probably a result of larger battery and heavy construction. The plus is it’s a two for one price. One in shop and one in house. Just buy it you won’t regret it.

just got them Friday only used one for about an hour and a half two hours. Power level was down to about 80%, which is really really good. First impressions I have one similar that I bought elsewhere these are at the very least comparable and I truly like them. But as I say only time will tell, but if first impressions continue to be the case they are welcome addition to my toolbox.

These lights work great. I keep one on my desk, it works nice as a quick reading light, since I don't like bright overhead lighting when I work on my computer. I keep the other one in the garage for working on cars, or under my riding mower. The magnet is nice and strong, it stays in place very well. I've also used it as a regular flashlight, when I don't have another one handy.
