This has ended my need to remember to disable the Auto Start/Stop in my 2025 Maverick XL. (I don't like Ford's Auto Start/Stop feature because of response delays after the engine shuts off when I am stopped. I live in the country and do not have to sit in traffic as in cities and so I believe that I am not saving much gas/reducing pollution by having the feature off. On the other hand, there are times when waiting at a stop sign where there is high speed traffic that I find the auto start a possible safety issue, even though I am a conservative driver. Since I do not always remember to turn off the auto start/stop (perhaps because our other vehicles do not have it) I have been startled more than once when the car did not just start.) The 4D Auto Start Eliminator has eliminated this problem. Note that if I want to turn auto stop/start back on, I can do it using the button by the transmission controls. When I shut the truck off, the device remembers whether I had auto stop/start disengaged or not and continues with the setting used when I turned the car off. Again, this is easily changed by simply using the engage/disengage auto stop/start button. Installation would have taken no more than 2-3 minutes except for two small problems and so here are a couple of things to bear in mind during the installation; this should allow you to install it rapidly and without frustration! 1. In a 2025 MAVERICK -- (as mentioned in another review) the bracket that protects the wiring cannot be removed easily, unlike what is described in the video from 4D (the video at the top of this webpage as of 7-30-25). You have to bend it out of the way and it takes some force. This is explained in the installation sheet that came with the product. I was a little uneasy bending it, fearing damage. When I finished the job, it was hard to get it bent back into the exact original position, but this was not a problem. It just took time because I was cautious. 2. Regarding the initial disconnection of the wiring connector (once the retaining bracket has been bent out of the way). The installation video correctly states that there is a release located on the side of the connector towards the rear of the car (you can't see it, you have to feel it). The video then states that you should "push in" this lever/tab and then the harness will be easily removed. The key here is to push the lever tab with your thumb in a direction towards the front of the truck (to the right as you hold it). In the case of my harness, there was a noticeable click when I finally did this correctly. If you are unfamiliar with this connector (I was), it helps to look at the connector on the part you are about to install and look at the release tab on its long side. You will see that at the end nearest where your hand will be, the release lever rests in a partial enclosure with two possible positions partially separated by a plastic barrier. When you get the part, the lever will probably be in outer position. This is the same position that locks it in place when installed. By pushing with your thumb, you can move it the inner position which unlocks the connector and allows you to remove it. (if you try this on your new part, you can move the lever back by gently twisting it to get it past the barriers, one side at a time). I hope this is helpful and not confusing!

Works great just slightly difficult to install. A must for the annoying start stop feature on most new cars. I got this for the Maverick. All that starting and stopping isn't good for the motor, battery and starter no matter what the manufacture says, they are in the business of selling as many cars as they can.

Work great at fixing a problem that never should have been. Trump administration trying to get rid of this mistake put on car makers from bogus lies of fuel savings when all it does is create a problem and saves very little gas if any and wears the starter out prematurely in the process.

On my 2025, install video was good with one exception, the 7mm does not need a deep socket from the back, it needs a 7mm wrench from the side we can see. Works great
