2004 club car DS 48v So far so good. I’ve had it installed for about a week. I’ve taken two good rides. I converted my 48v to lithium. I thought it was complicated task until I watch one video lol. This battery out performs my 6 car 12v, it’s lighter, and Temgo I believes states this battery can last up to 10 years, and to top it off it’s $700 compared to 6 new 12vs Apple cost me between $1000-1400. If you need new batteries this is the go to. Such a bargain for such great quality. Easy to install. I only had 3 issues specific to my model: 1. The space to install the as a tad tricky but with a little critical thinking I figured it out. 2. The positive and negative terminals on the battery are on one side and my terminal cables come out on each side. I had to add an extension to the positive cable. 3. I don’t really have an option to install the charger on the golf cart without drilling holes into my body ,which I’d rather not do. I wired it up and I have it sitting ipt behind my front seat. So far it no issues. Feels great to finally have lithium!!!

My install took a bit more time than it should have, my fault I wanted it to look good in the cart. I soldered and heat shrank all connections too. 2003 Club Car DS. Their small dash display came with a metal mounting bracket hot glued together. I took some time and careful cutting, I was able to separate the bracket from the display. I then cut a hole in the dash and a bit of hot glue, job done. The Trojan batteries were 8 yrs old and getting tired. I did time trials with the Trojans on specific distance, flat ground and on an incline. The weight difference is significant, well over 250 lbs. less compared to the lead acid units. I also purchased a 48 volt to 12 volt voltage reducer, fuse box, and plug adapter so that I can plug in the charger in the original location. The charger is mounted to a 1/4 inch metal plate attached to the wood battery box, insulation from the heat the charger gives off. I checked the temp after charging for 2 hours, the area around the charger only went up 25 degrees, safety maintained. Built a battery box and hold down. Bonus I have 2 small rachets straps to use on something else. Results: The battery performs better than I expected, very surprised, thrilled even. This is really a plug and play install. The other items that I purchased integrated with the install seamlessly. I have had this in the cart for 3 weeks with the Temgo unit, travelled 18 miles on my speedometer, I am down to 71 percent charge. All pretty flat roads. Performance: The cart goes from zero to speed rapidly. The takeoff speed shocked the wife. She now has to depress the pedal a bit slower now. I gained 4 mph on flat ground, now up to 32mph. I do have an upgraded electric motor. the speed increase on an incline is where I notice the biggest improvement before and after. It took 20.4 seconds to go up my measured incline with batteries, after with the Temgo Lithium it went down 14.8 seconds. My batteries were a bit tired, well maintained, but worn. The Lithium will last longer in my usage. The paperwork says 5000 cycles, I won't recharge until I it hits 20%. Price: All in and done, with other purchased parts I spent $894.23. The new Trojans would have been about $1400. Pros and Cons: The good you have read, there was one downside. The age of my cart, 2003. The battery was too tall to fit under the seat. Placed on the cart frame rails it was 1 inch above the seat placement. This was not their fault obviously. This is something to consider during this purchase, I missed it. The fix took a couple of hours, I put an aluminum frame under the seat. I raised the seat by 1 1/2 inches. I did not tell friends or family about raising the seat to clear the battery, no one noticed until I said something. So, really not a problem, just an adjustment to make things work. I am going to be doing an neighbors cart in next couple of months, he sees less hassle and maintenance as well. I have measured his cart already, his will clear by 2 inches. Final Thoughts: No more hassle with distilled water, filling the batteries every 2 months, and cleaning the battery corrosion every month either. This has been a pleasing conversion I entered into with considerable worry; rather now unfounded. Just what I was looking for to provide my home emergency power requirements. This battery is an excellent and easy solution for the task. Whether connecting the 48v 100ah battery directly to an AIO power inverter or expanding a power station to provide emergency power requirements this battery does the job. You can accomplish this easily by following one of the many YouTube videos showing "How to expand your battery power station". It is cost effective compared to proprietary expansion power packs. It has an LCD display to monitor the battery which is a great addition and an android app that works great. I recommend this unit highly and will be purchasing another in the near future. Thank you Temgo for developing this excellent battery.

Installed a month or so ago. No complaints so far, much better than the wet cells. One evening charge was reading 40%, started as small trip in the AM and battery fell to zero after 1/4 mile. Towed back, charged up and nothing similar since. However, I do recharge now at the 50% mark.

Battery works great. I used it for upgrading from lead acid batteries in my electric riding lawn mower. Swapped out four lead acid for this one. It has more power and longer life between charges now. For some reason it would not charge at first. The charger kept cutting off. Customer service from Temgo sent out a new charger right away. It is working great now.
