  • Very High Quality Kit at Half the Cost of Competition Very High Quality Kit at Half the Cost of Competition
Model: Golf Cart 36V (38.4V) 105Ah
The installation of this kit overall went great. This purchase was not sponsored in any way. I’m just a normal guy and not one of these influencer people. That being said I am going to write this review in a way I think makes sense to normal folks that want to spend their money wisely. 1. The instructions: I am a person with a background troubleshooting electrical circuits. That being said I found the wiring diagrams, color codes, and the it only fits one way wiring harnesses to keep even the most novice installer from connecting something wrong if you pay attention to what you are doing. There are also plenty of videos out there on YouTube to aid you in your installation that I did not end up using because I personally did not need to. The only thing that would be nice to add to the instructions that I do not remember seeing is some recommended tools required like what size hole saw might be needed for charging indicator led and the charging ports themselves. It would also be possible to break these instructions into fundamental steps with tools required for the components in those steps that could help more non-technical folks. 2. Packaging quality: the packaging quality was great and I have no recommendations on improvements for this. The package also arrived at least 2 days before I expected which worked great for me and also had handles integrated into the box to allow for a team lift. Great job here. 3. Quality of material: From what I have seen over years of working with wiring and harness/lug connections on wires I immediately noticed that what was provided was perfect in my book. The harness connectors at of good automotive quality and the lugged connects look and feel solid. The only thing that could have been provided is something to protect the wires from rub points. I just used zip ties to help me with this. All of the fasteners provided are of good quality. They did not skimp on fasteners at all with this kit which is awesome. The battery, charger, and screen are all heavy duty. The battery is built like a tank and the charger, and screen seems to be as well. THE BATTERY HAS AN ON/OFF SWITCH! Yes folks you can isolate yourself from the voltage of the battery and it is a beautiful thing when you are working. We must be in the future. The charger provided also has two different mounting options which make it versatile and awesome. The screen makes it really nice to see your battery percentage as you drive and there is no guessing. All definitely wins here. ***One big thing not added to this kit is a DC-DC convertor to get power to any lower than 36VDC accessories like headlights so you with need to buy one at around $30.*** 4. The app: Easy to find with provided QR code and easy to connect to your battery. There seems to be some confusion on connecting to the screen with the app/instruction manual and so far I have found customizing anything on the screen to be impossible which is a bummer just a little because I want to see battery temperature in Fahrenheit. It is only because I’m an American and I don’t care what the rest of the world wants to use or if it is better because I am used to my way. Really with the screen I’m not sure what the point of the app is unless maybe some danger alerts or something present themselves on app that do not on the screen. Summary: Overall the installation went great. I had to make a few modifications to my battery tray to make everything work which was actually the hard part. Everything else was a breeze. I added some before and after pictures of my project and below I will add a few recommended tools. As with anything the true test of this kit is going to be time and believe me it cost me as much as a set of lead acid batteries to replace with this so I am going to be very critical of it’s performance over the next 5-10 years. The warranty is for 5 years and I will be expecting great performance over that time at a minimum. I plan to update this review if I find any issues. My current performance is instant torque, going at least 1-3mph over my lead acid set using my stock controller, and a blazing fast charge rate compared to my lead acids. This thing basically seems to be worry free currently which is a huge selling point to me after endless amounts of battery acid in my garage and having to try and keep my dog from laying in it. I am currently stoked with this kit. Recommended Tools: metric and standard wrench set metric and standard socket set Screwdriver set Wireless 1/4” impact driver and drill set Rivet set with rivets A good hole saw set A good drill bit set Wire strippers Lug crimpers A good plier set I may be missing something but this should be most of it. ... show more

  • Drop in replacement
Drop-in replacement that just works Replaced a swollen, dead LiFePO4 pack on my 2022 Lexsong golf cart with the Mosasaur 73.6V 105Ah and couldn't be happier with the quality. The build feels solid, the included 20A charger is a nice touch and clearly matched to the pack's charge profile. First charge cycle went smoothly — hit 100% without any issues. The touch display and app are a great addition for monitoring state of charge. For anyone doing a DIY battery swap on a 72V cart, this is a clean bolt-in solution that saves you the headache of building your own pack from scratch. Free shipping was a bonus too. If your old pack is toast, don't mess around — just get the Mosasaur. Well worth the money. ... show more

  • Great Product - HUGE UPGRADE over Acid! - Fast now!
Model: Golf Cart 48V (51.2V) 105Ah
2.11.26 - I installed this battery into a Advanced EV 48V golf card that had traditional Lead Acid batteries that were 5 years old. The installation was straight forward with clear instructions provided. The item was packed well and arrived earlier than expected. If your card does not have a 48V to 12V reducer you will need this as well to power your 12V electronics. My cart already had one built in for the stock electronics, however I chose to add 2 additional converters to power my aftermarket electronics including soundbar, led lighting, and subwoofer. A minor modification to the battery compartment was necessary to remove the plastic molded battery holder, to provide for a smooth surface for this battery. (This was easily done with a multi tool.) You will need to make sure that the leads from the controller are long enough to reach the battery terminals. The touch screen monitor is great, and the mobile app is very useful. So far the battery has performed well when driving around the neighborhood. There is a huge increase in the speed and torque. This can be felt when going up a hill, before it struggled to make it, and even with small hills the speed would drop. It is constant now and does not drop speed. I did change the controller settings from factory(with the old batteries) and increased the MAX revolutions to 6200. The old battery max speed down hill was 22mph. I hit over 30MPH now on flat ground. These batteries also charge faster than the old ones. ... show more

  • Goodbye Lead Acid, Hello LiFePO4 — Best Upgrade I’ve Made to My Golf Cart Goodbye Lead Acid, Hello LiFePO4 — Best Upgrade I’ve Made to My Golf Cart
Model: Golf Cart 48V (51.2V) 105Ah
Game Changer for My Golf Cart – Ditched Lead Acid and Never Looking Back! I recently upgraded my golf cart to the MOSAURUS LiFePO4 Power Battery and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. If you’re still running lead acid batteries, do yourself a favor and make the switch. The fast charging alone is worth it. The charge time compared to my old lead acid setup is night and day and I’m back on the cart in a fraction of the time. On top of that, the app connectivity lets me monitor my battery right from my phone, giving me full visibility into charge levels and battery health whenever I need it. It’s a feature I didn’t know I needed but now can’t live without. The build quality is solid. The latch system feels premium and secure, it fits cleanly in the battery compartment, and it stays put. I’ve also noticed a real difference in acceleration since making the switch. LiFePO4 delivers more consistent voltage which translates directly to better throttle response and a stronger pull off the line. The 5-year warranty gives me confidence that the manufacturer stands behind their product, and rightfully so. If you want better performance, faster charging, smart app monitoring, and a battery that will outlast lead acid three-to-one in cycle life, this is the one. Worth every penny. ... show more

  • Great Upgrade
Model: Golf Cart 48V (51.2V) 105Ah
Great purchase! Found this to be less expensive than lead acid replacement batteries, this install was simple, my cart has better power, and the charge lasts much longer than with my Trojan Batteries. Highly recommend this upgrade!!

  • If you want a reliable battery; keep looking.
Model: Golf Cart 48V (51.2V) 105Ah
If you're in the market for a lithium golf cart battery, do yourself a favor and keep looking. This battery has left us stranded three times. The first time, the battery dropped from 38% to zero in under a minute—no warning, no time to react. The second and third instances? Dead battery, no alerts, no indication that something was wrong. Just total failure. I have sent pictures to the company each time so I have evidence. I reached out to customer service and got a response from "Sara," who asked to schedule a call with one of their engineers. That seemed promising, but after I replied with three different availability options (three different times!), I never heard back. No follow-ups, no support—just silence. Their customer service is an absolute ghost town. Maybe Amazon should pull this product from their website. The price is good, but the headaches are not worth it. Now, if I can just figure out how to return this thing. Edit: the company refunded me and said to keep the battery. ... show more

  • Easy set up. Easy set up.
Model: Golf Cart 48V (51.2V) 105Ah
I put this Mosasaur 48v battery system into our 2014 ezgo golf cart. Overall, we are very happy and impressed with it. The cart speed is up. I can't tell you what the speed difference is exactly, as it doesn't have a speedometer, but you can tell by the sound of the tires. The pitch is higher which means you're going faster. The other thing I noticed is the amount of torque. You could always tell when you were going uphill, you could hear it and feel it slow down. With this system, it doesn't slow down, it'll actually maintains speed because of the torque increase. Another awesome thing is the weight reduction. The cart originally came with 4 Trojan batteries that weighed almost 80lbs a piece. This complete system is roughly 120lbs. I say complete because I mounted the charger on board, plus the monitor and voltage reducer. So about a 200lb reduction. In the pics I hope you can see what I did to mount everything and why. The charge outlet was smaller than what was originally there. I used to pieces of wood, one outside and one inside. Screwed them together to capture the existing opening and clamping it in place. The battery itself is mounted more to the driver side because of all the connectors will have to go on the passenger side. I tried to use the old battery hold downs, but it still could be moved side to side. I ended up using through bolts and using an extra long drill bit. I just punched 4 holes to fit. It has zero movement now. The controller is also on the passenger side leaving very little space, so moving it over takes care of that. I was going to mount it first, but do all your hookups to see exactly where it needs to be before you mount it. You'll also see that where the fourth battery used to be there is now room to mount the charger onboard. It has a carrying handle on it that I tied the extra wiring to. Not the nicest job, but everything is secured in place. If you're a diy person, this is an easy but challenging project that is very well worth it. If you're not handy, either higher someone, or find a real good friend. I've already had a couple friends look at the set up and are going to ordering it for their carts as well. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that will be needing to change their batteries. Our batteries were at that point of replacement. We looked at the cost of the same batteries, staggering to say the least. We chose the Mosasaur because it suited our cart, there's virtually no maintenance, and the price was very little difference. So the fact that it is more powerful, lighter, and no maintenance or mess, it's very well worth the extra $150 or so in upfront cost. They have different battery configurations that will fit many other applications. The company also makes it worth it. Most systems come from overseas (China). Mosasaur has a warehouse in California. Our order said expected delivery was over 2 weeks. We got it within 5 days. I also got quick response on a question I had. Hope this helps... ... show more

  • Buy it!
Model: Golf Cart 48V (51.2V) 105Ah
Had it for a few months now. Battery charges quickly, functions just as the original 4 batteries did but doesn’t fall off near the end of its capacity. Pushes my 06 club car ds with a 6” lift and 23’s just fine. Loading in the bed of my truck the BMS will choke out and I have to get a rolling start to the ramp to get up but it’s not a deal breaker as I feel any lithium would do that and it could also be my cart Curtis controller. Value seems very well and it weighs much less than the original batteries. Design footprint is very manageable and the quality seems to be sturdy. Went 2 miles at wide open throttle topping out around 28mph with two adults on some up and down hills and battery went from 100 to 92, so around 25mile range at that rate I’m sure with a lighter foot it would last much longer. At the camp ground, it lasted about a week with the few daily laps around the campground and not needing to be charged. All in all, I’d deff recommend this battery to others. Oh and customer support is top notch! Had a question and they were back to me within 8 hrs snd willing to call me if I needed clarification! The screen itself is the only thing I hate. Very easy to turn it on but difficult power button to hold and turn off. But with the app I chose not to install the display. ... show more
