Features
- More Power for Pools up to 10,000 Gallons: Designed for homeowners who need stronger pool temperature control, this 40,000 BTU pool heat pump is ideal for pools up to 10,000 gallons. Compared with smaller pool heaters, it helps reduce slow heating concerns and keeps above ground or inground pools more comfortable for family swim time, weekend use, and longer swim seasons.
- Stable 220240V Performance for Serious Pool Heating: Built for medium backyard pools, this electric pool heater uses 220240V dedicated power to support stronger and more stable heating performance. Professional electrical installation is recommended, making it a better choice for homeowners who want a capable long-term pool heating solution rather than a light-duty plug-in heater.
- Heating, Cooling and WiFi Control in One Unit: Keep your pool comfortable as the weather changes. Use heating mode to take the chill out of spring and fall water, or switch to cooling mode when summer heat makes the pool feel too warm. With WiFi control, timer settings, and a digital control panel, you can adjust temperature and schedules more conveniently.
- Outdoor-Ready Build with Installation Support: Made for long-term backyard use, this swimming pool heat pump features a titanium heat exchanger, IPX4 outdoor-ready housing, and quiet 53dB operation. It comes with adapters, drain fittings, a drain hose, shock absorption pads, and user instructions. For best performance, pair it with a pool pump above 1500 GPH. If you need help with setup or troubleshooting, our professional technical support team is ready to assist.

I ordered the VARMINPOOL 27,000 BTU Pool Heat Pump for 7,000-gallon pools back in September 2025 during Prime Days. I was able to install it myself despite having only limited plumbing experience. I’m extremely satisfied with the product. I ran a couple of tests here in Southern California, and it works wonderfully. I’m using it with our above-ground 5,000-gallon pool and was able to bring the water temperature up to summer levels in just 24–48 hours. It wasn’t cold yet during my October testing (Los Angeles area), but the heater performed exactly as advertised. Make sure your poop pump is a variable speed as the water needs to run slowly through the heater to get heated properly. My issue was that I was using a very fast single speed pump and the water didn't have time to heat when running though the Varmin heat pump. I replace ny pool pump with a variable speed one and run it at the lowest speed when using the heat pump and voila, it works like a charm :) At first, I had some issues getting the heater connected to my existing setup, and later it wasn’t behaving quite as I expected. I called Varmin’s support after seeing another customer mention that they received an adapter from the company. I can’t stress this enough: Varmin’s customer support is the best support service I have EVER dealt with. The representative I spoke with was incredibly nice, contacted the technical team on my behalf, responded immediately, and followed up daily (literally every single morning) until all my issues were resolved. This level of support is almost unheard of these days. In the end, they sent me an adapter to better fit my pool setup, and even after everything was fixed, they called back to offer a perfectly fitted winter cover for the heat pump with properly aligned inlet and outlet holes: all for free! There’s something truly special about this company: the great price point, the great design, and the absolute outstanding customer support. I highly recommend both the product and the company behind it. Thank you, Varmin, for the amazing experience!

I purchased the Varminpool V10 pool heat pump and after installation the unit worked wonderfully. After several days the unit would NOT stay connected to my wireless network. I did troubleshoot the problem through Varminpool instructions and several internet suggestions but it did not correct the problem. I contacted Varminpool tech line and after a few questions about the unit and the troubleshooting , it was determined that the controller was the cause , immediately Varminpool sent a replacement which arrived in 2-3 days . I installed the new controller and the unit works awesome and stays connected to the network now . Thanks Varminpool for your product and support . 5 star rating from me !!

After a lighting strike that destroyed our pool heater I realized that our heater that was put in last year is no longer make. So I set out to find a heater that could cover our 16x32 foot pool with a deep end. About 20K gallons. After searching for a while I came across the 140000BTU Varminpool heater. And was a little skeptical because the price was a lot lower than other heaters on the market. This unit will also cool your pool too! It is WIFI compatible and is easy to install and operate. Installation was quite easy with their supplied in and outlet adapters too. Now I have got to say, this is the best part. I did have an issue with my unit. I contacted Varminpool's service department and they assist the issue and took care of the problem. They were very responsive and quite friendly. They also followed up after everything was woking 100%. I totally recommend this company and the super quiet pool heat pump they produce. It's easily taking care of our pool temp needs. Don't be afraid of a good price it's not always a indicator of quality.

I bought the Varminpool 35100. Great heater and works as expected, considering it's not a gas heater. Had an issue with losing wireless connectivity. Called customer support and they sent me a new display with instructions on how to change it. Great customer service who pretty much held my hand until my issues were resolved. Varminpool heaters are great.. I will continue to buy them when and if this one ever gives up. Thank you Varminpool. Just remember, you will need to get an electrician to setup a 240 volt outlet if you don't have one. Its not a plug in the wall for 240, so the electrician you hire has to set it up. After that, it's smooth sailing.

First, the app either hates me or it's not very good. It makes me put in my wifi password every time and I have a long password. Second, I have a 9200 gallon 20 foot round Summer Waves pool that I've tried ev e ry "redneck" way to heat without actually buying a pool heater. DIY solar heater to a propane camping shower (which works, actually). The inconvenience and cost of propane stopped that this summer. Third and finally, This pool heater won the battle of all others because I got it on prime days for $300 or so of and it has the added benefit of being 120 volt. IT WORKS FANTASTICALLY! Pool stays at a steady 88 degrees. Mostly. One thing you .earn about these things is that there has to be at least a 3-5 degree difference in the actual water temp and the desired temp. If you've put off getting one, don't! You will get so much more use out of your pool and you won't want to get out. Great price for me, I bought my fittings at HD so I have no leaks, it is whisper quiet (my pool is 100 feet from the house, and the app tells me my water flow is very good.

Do not buy this under any circumstances with the warranty. Everything I spent over six hundred dollars, and it does not come with the proper fittings. You're gonna look at spend another fifty to a hundred dollars. Just to buy stuff that might fit, I can't find anything that will fit properly

Easy to install and extremely quiet. We installed this unit on a 15 X 30 oval shaped 54 inch deep above ground pool. Pool was 62° when installed. Our pool is uncovered currently has heated to 79° after three days. I believe this unit will maintain our set temperature when completely heated. My target is 88°. I will update my review as time goes on. I would recommend if you can afford to buy a larger unit you should. I knew upfront that the unit is slightly undersized for my pool. I would have given five stars, but the controls are difficult to see, and the app is not usable.
