I have an around 5000 gallons pool, and this 16000BTU pool heat pump works great. Just be patient that the initial warm up target temp took about a day, but it cost you nothing. After that it held the temperature very steadily with only minor fluctuations, so I didn’t have to keep adjusting it. The unit is extremely quiet — I can sit by the pool without being bothered — and the control panel is intuitive with useful scheduling and temperature settings. Since installing it, swimming has become much more comfortable and enjoyable, especially for evening swims and on cooler days. Overall, a powerful, low‑noise solution if you’re looking for consistent pool warmth rather than instant heat. Great customer services as well.

I bought this heater after discussing with the company via text and phone calls the proper one to get for my 28,000-gallon pool. I thought I maybe would have purchased a different one, but they helped me decide the appropriate unit. It arrived on a pallet in a timely fashion. All I really have to say is that after numerous communications, because I am not a professional, they were very helpful in helping me set up the unit. I am very happy with the purchase and the customer support, which I utilized based on my lack of knowledge. it is successfully hooked up, and I did the PVC work. I hired an electrician to wire it up, and the phone app is working successfully enough. So far, after about two and a half months of using it, I am happy with the purchase. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how much it's costing me electricity-wise, but so far it has not had a dramatically negative impact on my monthly bill. I am also very glad that it is going to extend my pool usage because I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, facing the bay, and it is not ideal pool weather. Now with the heater, I will probably have at least 50% more access time to the pool based on its 83° average temperature.

16,000 btu arrived on time with some minor damage to a half inch section of the fins. The threads on one of the connectors were also a little messed up and the connector wanted to cross thread when screwing into the unit. I was able to clean up the leading thread with a knife and got it to thread in correctly and sealed well. The hose connectors have two connection diameters. The 1.5" did not work with the 1.5" intex hose I had. The 1.5" connector seemed to be too small. The 1.25" connector fit 1.25" perfectly so I just purchased a couple 1.25" to 1.5" adapters and they work great. I used waterproof grease on all my gaskets to preserve the gaskets and ensure good sealing. I have a 3300 gallon pool and am thoroughly impressed with how this thing heats. I'm in Ohio where the days have been mid to upper 70s and the nights have been in the 50s and it's keeping the pool at 80+. I have a 2400 gph filter pump which is above the recommended pump size, but it still works great. The fins do frost up at times, but the unit seems to detect the condition and shuts off briefly for the frost to melt. At this point I would highly recommend this product.

I love my 58000 BYU Verminpool heater. The customer service team at Vermin pool company were awesome. My heater came in with a damaged led screen. Took a photo, sent it to the company through Amazon. The company quickly responded and got the details and address. Couple of days later , I received the new Les controller which plugged in . Installs the unit ( not hard) . Electrician wire it. I plumbed it! Turned it on using the very simple to understand controller. Next day swimming in pleasant pool water.

They call it compatible. It is not they should offer a variety of fittings to accommodate common above ground pool systems. They would greatly increase the sale ability,I’ve read. It’s good a good heater but it can only accommodate certain size pool pumps I have a 2500 gallon per hour pump, but it didn’t say anything in the description regarding pump size it wasn’t until I received the pump, discovered the connectivity is incompatible or rated for the size pump that I have

Update: with a great customer support we managed to install the heat pump eventually. Once all things are connected it immediately worked perfectly and heats the pool quickly! Especially since the support wad so helpful, I will give it 5 stars since this is the best thing to happen (if the product works). I’ll keep you posted about the system! I have to agree with the customer complaining about the missing compatibility to standard pool equipment of smaller pools. And after 1.5 days of researching and trying to get the right adaptors I am not even at the point to check whether the water flow from the filter pump is compatible to the one the heat pump needs. And customer service just opened a ticket and went silent for the rest of the day
