As an engineering firm, we have to keep our shop at a consistent temperature and humidity level due to the high precision of parts we manufacture. Consequently, we've gone through several different brands of dehumidifiers over the years, ranging from $100 to several hundred dollars. So far, this one from Trazico is the best quality one we've purchased. As engineers, we can easily recognize quality, or lack thereof. Trazico has taken the time to built a high-quality product. The build quality seems second to none, from the easy rolling castor wheels to the quiet yet effective compressor. If you look at the electrical ratings, it's one of the most efficient models for its size. It's also one of the quietest that we've used. A small hum is all that can be heard when it is working. We like the compact size that allows it to stay unnoticed in the corner of the room, and that the fan blows straight up and not to the side. The bucket is easy to empty, or it can be permanently drained via the included drain hose. Controls are intuitive and easy to use. Screens won't easily scratch. The best part: Trazico backs up their quality with a 3-year warranty, which is unheard of for a small dehumidifier. It shows that they are confident in the product they've produced. There's a reason that most reviews are excellent for this dehumidifier. If you are looking for a top-of-the-line dehumidifier, don't hesitate to purchase this one. Purchased a dehumidifier less then two years ago on Amazon from a different company. It lasted less then two years and the other company said they would give me $100 towards a new one. Irritated I searched for something new hesitant to purchase another unit with only a one year warranty. This unit I purchased comes with a 3 year warranty and is much smaller and easy to move around. I let it sit for 24 hours then plugged it in. Humidity in my basement went from 74 down to 53 in about 4 hours. It’s running well and I hope it lasts. ... show more

Small yet so powerful. I lived in Michigan for a year and got introduced to dehumidifiers used in basement. Come back to Houston, we don’t have basements, but quickly realized the humidity in the house constantly. I lived in Houston for 20 years before but never used a dehumidifier but now, I felt I should try it. And oh boy want a difference!! The water filled up enough without me realizing. The love the LED display and auto shut off once it’s full. This dehumidifier is a dynamic… small yet powerful. Don’t let the size fool you. I highly recommend this if you live in a humid place. The air quality changes and you start feeling what all you’ve been missing out in life!! I am planning on purchasing more for upstairs as well and perhaps one for the other wing of the house. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I decided to go with this dehumidifier over other options because I like that it has wheels, and it also comes with a drain hose. Seems to be slowly lowering the humidity in my house. I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 because I expected it to lower the humidity a little faster. I’m fascinated with my new dehumidifier. This thing is potent. My bathroom has not felt muggy or damp since I started using it. I find it really useful to have it constantly drain the water. It’s easier than having to empty the bucket each time it fills up. However, the bucked is a decent so it should not get full too fast. I love how silent it is. I had another one that was much louder. The Trazico dehumidifier is outstanding. We live in a very humid area and this dehumidifier is working wonders. It is easy to empty and the quality workmanship is there. Being able to set our air conditioning to 78 degrees vs. 73 before purchase has been very cost effective for us. I would definitely buy again.
