As an engineering firm, we have to keep our shop at a consistent temperature and humidity level due to the high precision of parts we manufacture. Consequently, we've gone through several different brands of dehumidifiers over the years, ranging from $100 to several hundred dollars. So far, this one from Trazico is the best quality one we've purchased. As engineers, we can easily recognize quality, or lack thereof. Trazico has taken the time to built a high-quality product. The build quality seems second to none, from the easy rolling castor wheels to the quiet yet effective compressor. If you look at the electrical ratings, it's one of the most efficient models for its size. It's also one of the quietest that we've used. A small hum is all that can be heard when it is working. We like the compact size that allows it to stay unnoticed in the corner of the room, and that the fan blows straight up and not to the side. The bucket is easy to empty, or it can be permanently drained via the included drain hose. Controls are intuitive and easy to use. Screens won't easily scratch. The best part: Trazico backs up their quality with a 3-year warranty, which is unheard of for a small dehumidifier. It shows that they are confident in the product they've produced. There's a reason that most reviews are excellent for this dehumidifier. If you are looking for a top-of-the-line dehumidifier, don't hesitate to purchase this one. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I decided to go with this dehumidifier over other options because I like that it has wheels, and it also comes with a drain hose. Seems to be slowly lowering the humidity in my house. I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 because I expected it to lower the humidity a little faster. It's been running for about a week now and humidity levels aren't where I want them, although they are lower (sitting at around 63-65% humidity) Value for money: Good value for the money Drain hose: I love that it came with a drain hose! Update: I had started the process of returning this. I continued using it. This thing has been working amazingly since. Maybe the humidity was just too high and I didn't realize it. Maybe the cleaning of it did it's job afterall. I kept it and it's still going great. I'm going to go with user error on my part 🤷. Let me also add that customer service did reach out to me twice to make this right with an exchange and or refund. Sorry to say I didn't respond and waited too long to update this review. Original review I wrote: This was great for about 25 days. Light weight, easy to use. Lowered the humidity within a few days. It was maintaining the level around 45% but ran continuously. But then it stopped removing moisture but kept running. I cleaned the filter, I turned it off for about 24 hours, but still wouldn't remove moisture. I use to be able to hear the compressor kick on but that no longer can be heard. Returning it. ... show more

I bought one and then a second one after receiving the first and using it for about a week. The construction of the machine seems solid and the quality good. After running two units for four months, they have performed well. One unit is in the finished part of our basement (4 rooms, ~1200 sq.ft. with HVAC) and the other in an unfinished area (~400 sq.ft. with only small foundation vents) that has dirt floor covered with patio pavers over plastic sheeting. Both spaces had high humidity (>80%). Both areas are 50-60% with the units in 24/7 operation. Each remove 2 to 3 gallons per day. I connect the hose so that the units empty into drains. I sometimes put the hose into buckets to collect the water for use on house and deck plants. With some practice, removing the unit's integrated tank is not difficult, however, it's capacity is not enough for round the clock operation. ... show more
