Color: 4-stroke 7hp Long Shaft

Features

  • Fast & Powerful: A 4-stroke engine with a maximum output of 5.1kW and 7hp, and a maximum speed of 6000rpm, provides you with unparalleled speed. The streamlined design of a 6.3'' three-blade propeller can reduce water resistance and provide stronger power during operation.
  • Easy to Operate: The throttle lever directly controls acceleration and steering. The step-less speed regulation allows you to easily adjust the running speed, combined with simple gear shifting (forward, neutral, or reverse), bringing you a more comfortable and convenient user experience.
  • Fuel-efficient: An efficient carburetor burns fuel more fully with a fuel consumption rate of about 0.39 gal/h, not only saving fuel but also reducing expenses, making it very suitable for small ships and people who frequently navigate short distances.
  • Safe & Reassuring: The reliable TCI ignition system can quickly and safely start the motor, and suspension tilt adjustment pins and anti-vortex plates reduce inclination and vortices, ensuring smooth operation. The efficient heat dissipation holes coupled with overheating protection, allow you to continuously enjoy the fun of the navigation.
  • Complete Set: In addition to the outboard motor, our package also includes a funnel, a tool kit, etc., which can meet your usage needs at once.

  • Performed well.
This is a really nice motor, runs great. I love it. I definitely recommend you can't beat the price

  • Jon Boat Guys - read this review
This review is for installing an 18hp outboard to my 14ft Jon Boat. Replaced a 6.5hp backwater mud motor and WOW it's like a whole different boat. I've had good luck with Chinese motors so at the price I had to give this a shot. Make sure you do the bare minimum break in but I went a little over and used 3 gallons of 25/1 and ran it until it was empty. The motor once ready is responsive and FAST. I wanted to stay standing up so I added the helmsmate 30" tiller extension. I had to sit down once I hit 75% throttle because my boat was flying! Obviously this is a fresh review so I can't speak to longevity or durability but for an out of the box Amazon delivery this motor will get you there and quickly. For whatever reason the choke doesn't really work so I have to start it with choke in and 1/4 throttle but it starts immediately every time and hasn't died on me yet. The gas tank and connector hose seems to be of good quality and I had no fuel issues. Bottom line, for $1300 bucks with shipping this is a high performance upgrade for any 14ft or smaller (check rating) boat. I kept my mud motor just in case there were situations that I thought I may want to throw it back on, but at this point I don't think I'm going to find a better match for my boat than this 18 horse outboard. ... show more

  • good motor
The media could not be loaded. Good motor carries my 16ft carolina skiff with 2 people and gear at 26mph on plane, only issue i have had is the cowl did not latch i had to modify it so that it would stay on the motor.

  • Good option that doesn’t break the bank - so far so good
The media could not be loaded. I threw this thing on my 14ft, 36in wide flat bottom Jon boat, and it is an absolute unit. I purchased the 18hp model. It pushes my jon boat (which has a decent amount of weight on it) 22-24 mph without breaking a sweat. Threw a second person on there and it only dropped 1 mph, threw a third on it and it went anywhere between 19 to 21 mph depending on size of passengers. It seems like it can handle weight very well. I also admired the care that the manufacturer put in to shipping and handling. Not one thing was out of place, and it even came a day before the expected delivery window. I would recommend this product and have enjoyed it over the few weeks that I’ve had it. I will be sure to update this review if any major problems occur within an unreasonable timeframe. Make sure you do a good break in on the motor and fill the gear oil reservoir. -all in the provided users manual. ... show more

  • Arrived in timely manner and was well cushioned with styrofoam to protect motor and lower unit.
Color: 4-stroke 7hp Long Shaft
Purchased this on Amazon, it came in two packages, one for the engine, the other package was the lower unit. Both were well packaged and arrived without incident. IInitially, was a bit concerned because we were unaware that this was arriving in two separate packages. I do believe the purchaser should have some basic engineering skills and mechanical aptitude because it is unlikely you will receive any assembly instructions(given my experience and the amazon reviews read) , however we did get an engine manual. I watched an "assembly video" on an amazon review that was helpful, so kudos to the gentleman who posted that. One tricky part was connecting the collet (the metal cylinder piece(with a rectangular key and slot to resit slippage) that connect the engine shaft to the lower drive unit. There is a hole drilled in the metal collet that was meant for an Allen screw. This permits the collet to be secured to the bottom of the engine shaft. The hole was present in the collet, however it was not threaded, so I purchased a 5/16" tap from Lowes and tapped the hole and also purchased a short Allen screw to fit into that hole. The Allen screw was secured with blue Loctite and that prevented the collet from slipping off the motor shaft while connecting the motor to the lower transmission unit shaft. The man in the video used some thick grease to hold the collet in place when attaching the motor to the lower unit, and that seemed to work but I preferred a more secure connection. It is necessary to add transmission fluid (not supplied) to the lower unit and oil in the crankcase (also not supplied) before starting the engine. We built a sturdy motor stand with 2x4's (from watching a u-tube video) Motor was easy to start and seems to run well. I have yet to test this out on our sailboat, but will follow up after the break-in period. I suspect with proper routine maintenance, and respectful usage, that this will prove to be a positive experience. Best wishes and Good luck ! Ed & Thia ... show more

  • 10/10 For the price!
Got it on a 16ft flat bottom John boat. Moves me and my buddy plus gear up the Ohio river at 25mph easy, might be able to reach 30 if solo. After the break in it starts first crank every time! Only had it out 3 times now so maybe 10 hrs total but it’s been running like a top the whole time!
