I purchased wrong size, but on the bright side I didn't have to cut them since my egg boxes were larger than these mats. Sadly, as I was putting on the velcro onto the backs of these I noticed upon turning them over shedding, more than I feel there should have been but I never cut them. They are very thin, had hoped they would fluff up after being out of package but 2nd week in use and that hasn't happened, but I gave 4 stars because 1: Chickens adapted to it fast/same day - first time they have been on anything but shavings. 2: Shedding of the grass stopped after day 3, and still plenty of fake grass. 3: The chickens have not been able to destroy it after 2 weeks, they're still working on it, but they have not been successful - 12 hens lol. Wanted something to put in the chicken laying area, this was the perfect fit and it does the job. I was putting hay down in the laying area but chickens moved it around so much that i was concerned that eggs were going to be cracked. So I saw someone else using these and Im glad i bought them. Easy to clean up just hit them with some water, if want to can use a liitle bit of soap and wash them out. Let sun dry and put back into coop. Chickens dont mind them at all and i still put some hay down but not as much. ... show more
