  • Used to anchor a plastic drum for hunting...
I used these to anchor a plastic 55-gallon that was cut in half at ground level to make a water hole in the woods for hunting. For a visual, I dug a hole in the ground large enough to make the "top" of my half drum approximately level with the ground in a naturally low area so that I could hold water in the area a little longer after rain events. I have rebar spanned across the drum that connects to these anchors. So the rebar holds the drum down only if the anchors stay in place. This is the third version of this setup and I think this one will be the last! Pretty sure my rebar will give out before these anchors. Previous ground stakes just didn't have enough bite in them to withstand the upward push of the water on the plastic drum and would then float up and not function how I wanted it to. Easy to install. Appear to be well made. I like that the full length is one large spiral that can bite onto roots and other items in the ground as it went in. ... show more

  • Very Good Quality, Very Reasonable Price.
I ordered the 4 pcs Ground Anchor with Adapter, Spiral Stake Earth Anchor Kit for a 10x10 canopy tent that I periodically use. To date. I have used 5 gallon buckets of water to weight down the corners. When I saw these anchors. I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, winter and frozen ground arrived with my anchors and I have not yet put them to use as I am not using the tent currently. The anchor screws appear well made, moderately robust, have a durable finish, come with Integrated loops to tie anchor chords to, and include a nut driver bit, for drill or impact driver, to ease installation. I would love it if a similar tool was available in SDS so that I could use my rotary hammer to drive the screws. Given the overall quality and price, I think these anchor screws are a great deal. ... show more

  • Nicely made ground stakes
These ground stakes look very well made. The weld beads are consistent on them and the powder coat seems to be applied evenly. I also appreciated the small caps over the sharpened tips of the anchors for safety. I’ll have to wait for the ground to thaw to truly put these to the test in my rocky/clay soil, but this style anchor should fare much better than the large flat spiral type. The 14mm hex nut at the top also makes it easy to put an impact driver on the anchor to work it into the ground. I plan to go to my local hardware and get a longer threaded rod to thread into these for anchoring a projector screen in the spring. ... show more

  • Cheap metal from China
If your ground is soft they’ll be fine but if the ground is hard, these are no good. I had two of them bend on me and once they bend due to the spiral shape, they’re toast.

  • saves time staking in ground, but adds time putting on eye bolt
I got these because I wanted to drive my anchors into the ground with a drill. Using the drill bit that's included, it is much easier to use a drill and get the anchors fully in the ground. The drill is more powerful that turning them by hand so it can get through tougher ground quicker and easier (though be careful because things you don't want to drill through will also offer less resistance). For this purpose, the items works because the anchors get securely in the ground, every time. However, I thought using a drill would save me time. But removing the eye bolt to use the drill bit, then having to reinstall the eye bolt once the anchors are in ground, actually takes more time. And, now, the anchoring force isn't necessarily provided by the hooks in the ground, but probably provided by the screw threads holding the eye bolt to the buried anchor. I'm not holding down anything big and heavy that can get away, so I'm not worried. Just think about it for whatever purpose you're going to use it for. ... show more

  • I'm impressed!
I can't speak to longevity or durability yet, but so far, I'm really impressed with this anchor set. I store a travel trailer in one of those canopy-style carports. I have the legs staked down, with weights on the feet, but really wanted to make sure it wasn't going anywhere. I put off installing these anchors because I was unsure how they'd go into my very dense, hard clay soil and didn't want any frustrations. (There are historic buildings in my neighborhood made from this soil. It's no joke!) When there was a wind warning issued, it knew it was time to stop procrastinating. Installing these anchors using my cordless impact driver and the provided adapter was a piece of cake! I shouldn't have waited so long. Then I screwed on the eyes that came with the set, added my tie-downs, and had my project finished in no time. I feel a lot better about the sturdiness of the structure. I can't wait to see how these hold up. ... show more

  • Excellent ground anchor
The media could not be loaded. I needed some good ground anchors to secure my pool cover and to use while camping to tie down my awning. What I love about these is that they have a nut at the top so that you can use your drill to simply screw them into the ground securely. With others that I have had without that feature, it was sometimes a real hassle to get them in them ground. Once in the ground simply screw in the provided eye bolt and you can secure whatever you need. The are also coated so they should be more resistant to rusting than others. Very pleased that they came with four of them. ... show more

  • Make sure to keep the tool provided
Love the fact it comes with a tool to use a drill to put these in the ground. VERY helpful. Make sure to keep that handy. These are heavy enough to secure a Trampoline, or in my case a car cover that I have in my side yard. They even have some nice plastic tips on the end to keep the sharp end from cutting something up before you get a chance to install. Obviously, remove before installation. Thinking about getting a 2nd set (I have another car cover)! ... show more
