It's hard to believe that this one of the choices for gate corners to buy. These things cannot hold up the saltwater and high humidity. These things will need to be replaced again and again.

  • Excellent replacement parts to repair your chain link fence gate
Color: Silver
I recently ordered the 4 Packs Aluminum Chain Link Fence Gate Corners for use in repairing my outdoor chain link fence gate. I was impressed by their design, ease of use, and durability. The gate corners are made from high-quality aluminum, which provides excellent strength and resistance to weather and corrosion. The 90-degree angle design is perfect for use with 1-3/8" x 1-3/8" outdoor diameter pipes, making them a versatile solution for any chain link fence gate. Installation of the gate corners was incredibly easy thanks to the included bolts. The pressed gate corner design ensures a tight fit and prevents any unwanted movement or shifting of the gate. This gives me confidence that my gate will remain secure and stable for years to come. What I appreciate most about these gate corners is their durability. The aluminum construction is both lightweight and incredibly strong, making it resistant to damage from daily wear and tear. They are also resistant to rust, which is a huge plus in any outdoor environment. Overall, I would highly recommend the 4 Packs Aluminum Chain Link Fence Gate Corners for anyone looking for a durable, easy-to-install solution for their chain link fence gate. They're made from high-quality materials, easy to install, and designed to last, making them a great value for any homeowner or business owner. ... show more

  • Lightweight cast aluminum
Color: Silver
These are what they claim to be: lightweight cast aluminum. Price was in line with other offers for the same product. I don't know what alloy they use but it's fairly brittle. This will crack before it bends which is not the case of all cast aluminum. There are no torque specs anywhere I've seen but do your best to snug them down but not over tighten. If it was less brittle I'd rate it at 5 stars. Still a decent option for building a gate without having to bend tubing. ... show more

  • Use these to make gates and panels
Color: Silver
I make gates and panels up to 20' long with four corners and one vertical support in the middle if more than 10' long. All panels are 5' high. Usually I make 10' x 5' panels with no extra supports. To make a fence removable I cut 2' sections of 1 7/8" line pipe and set in concrete where each fence post goes. Then drop 1 5/8" line posts in. Each 10' panel can be clamped to the line post. If I remove two clamps and pick up the end, I can open the panel if needed to get equipment in or out. Remove the other panel, swing it open, and lift the post out, and 20' is opened up. If I move, I can take it all leaving only the 2' pieces of pipe in concrete which can be covered up. I have used a lot of these gate corners from various sources. In some types of corners the 1 3/8" chain link top rail pipe (up to 20" long) just slips in and you have to drill and use screws to secure. This doesn't allow for later adjustment or disassembly. So I use the gate corners that clamp onto the pipe. With some corners I've used, tightening just one bolt down can break the flange, making it useless. I've learned to tighten all the nuts a bit one after the other to avoid this. With these, I tried tightening just one, but it didn't break, so these are stronger than some I've managed to break. When I put in a gate, I use two gate corners with short pieces of 1 3/8" pipe going down into the two gate posts with a top piece the width of the gate opening. This allows me to tension the wire while keeping the posts straight up (to tension I screw two 2x4s to the end and use tie-down straps to ratchet it tight). If I don't want to use panels, I use a top rail and set the line posts in concrete. For each gate, four corners for the gate and two to connect to gate posts works. I don't use chain link fencing, but 5' no-climb 2"x4" horse fencing which costs more than most fencing, but much less than chain link with the end bars and hardware and is lighter, strong enough, and more important my wife likes it. I've also make dog kennels that clamp together without posts with a shed roof added with tiedowns to keep the wind from moving it. No local store stocks the 20' 1 3/8" top rail and shipping to too high to order online, but the local Ace Hardware ordered both the fencing and top rails and 8' line posts with no shipping costs. Ace doesn't carry the corners and I could drive 150 miles and get them at Home Depot, but at $8.98 each, I think I know a better source. I used to get them from Zoro by the case, but now they want $10.68 each. Perhaps four is not enough, so the seller should offer in lots of 12, 24, 36. ... show more

  • Decent replacement if you are careful.
Color: Silver
They work for a replacement for the corners of this gate. That said, the first one cracked while tightening it up. I was careful after that not to tighten the nuts much past 'snug'. We needed a hole for the diagonal brace so I took the center bolt out and used that. It worked. There are stops inside which limits how far the tubes go in. The was a slight problem since the original was pushed in about an inch further. It still closes but the gate is now about two inches longer. The price is low so if you do need to replace worn out corners these should do it. ... show more
