The frame needs 3/4" thick slabs, it does not fit 1" thick slabs. Please follow basic engineering and quality control either 9n product side or employ competent writers to describe the product. I am sitting here with contractor spending an extra hour cutting 1inch boards to fit into the gate frame.

    • Good and easy to install
Material looks sturdy and looks good. Size is tricky, you need about 1" to 2" wider opening then in description otherwise you have to be creative. The seller WILL NOT PAY FOR SHHIPPING return. I bought the wider gate and it did not fit because it needed an inch wider opening. So I ordered this one. But before I received it I figured away to modify the posts for the wider gate to work. I was able to install the gate flush with posts and therefore it worked. I tried retuning this one, and even though it was still unopened they refused to pay for shipping. It cost me 60% of the price of the gate to ship it back. My advise is only buy this if you have a wiggle room in the opening size. You can easily change posts or install flush or something. You do not want to pay for shipping back but you will if it does not fit or if you changed your mind. Nonetheless, I do recommend it because of easy of installation and it looks good.     • This will NOT Fit a 1 inch thick wood board
It's almost impossible to Assemble, I bought this frame as a DIY project and now I regret going through the trouble of putting it together, I've spend more time and money trying to find ways to make it work than if I would've just bought a complete new fancy gate. I tried the T&G Boards that I saw in a review above and they are not working for me either. This type of boards need to be handle with care and between the pressure lip in the frame and the rubber muzzle to apply pressure will destroy the boards. If you are not a carpenter or have skills and tools for a project like this, avoid yourself the headache and money pit. ... show more

Easy to install. I had to modify to fit a smaller space but it was fairly simple. I’ve read a lot of complaints about the difficulty people are having installing, especially the boards. I suggest using thin cedar pickets from Home Depot. Don’t try to jam the pickets deep into the frame. The design is to set the boards into the larger space in the frame and then they will pinch into place when tightening the bolts.     • Use 5/8" tongue and groove fence boards

This kit takes a bit of work because the gate slots bend inwards. The magic thickness of boards to use is 5/8". Use tongue and groove type to minimize wood warping. Some slot will seem loose when putting in such boards, but once you tighten the carriage bolts it all comes together nice and tight. I got two sets for a double gate door and cut the steel frame to length and drilled new holes on one side. You end up with a hefty gate door that looks and feels premium and solid in the end. 4 stars due to 1x6 boards not fitting well and needed a replacement board type and the gate latch bolts being just a hair short. ... show more

Easy to install if you read the directions. I did not lol and had to unbolt reboot a few times. Use sturdy wood and it will hold stronger.

All I have to say is wow! - Each of the brackets were bent inwards. Even after using a 24" pry bar, none of the 1x6 boards really fit in there as the product describes. - Only a few of the holes line up in order to insert the hardware through it. - Package was delivered open and in general bad condition. This product is a lot like communism. Great in theory, but trash otherwise. I don't know if it's Amazon's overall carelessness or "Nuvo Irons" bad attention to detail, but this is no way to do business. The silver lining is now I will be able to defend myself against intruders with my new 24" pry bar, since I still don't have a gate. Amazon, you need to review your TQA processes. When using 1x6x6 privacy panels you will have to rip one of the panels or the holes will not line up for the corner screws. We had 2 holes that wasn't bored out good enough so we just cleaned up the hole with drill bit and screwed fit in perfect then. If you have to rip a board put the gate together and then measure from the corner premade hole to the rail premade hole to get the measurement of what needs ripped. Ours was off 2 1/4" looking at the picture you can see right side is ripped shorter. There was no video online to help figure this out, so I hope this helps. If you have to do anything differnt to the gate like we did it does take a lot longer than 15 minutes. ... show more
