These collars really work. I have two cats that don’t like each other, and a really shy one. These collars help everyone to be calm and happy. This brand is my favorite because the odor is not too strong. Other brands are so strong that you have to take them out of their container and let them air out for a few days before you can put them on the cat. I feel bad for the poor kitties whose owner immediately puts them on the kitties. So buy Tri Oak for a good experience for you and the kitty. 🐈⬛

Although pricey, the calming collar is worth every cent. I was very skeptical, but after reading reviews I decided to give it a try on our 3 and 1/2-year-old orange Tabby girl with golden eyes. She had become moody and sometimes aggressive towards other cats in the house and sometimes the humans. She wanted to be petted, but she would change her mind, and even bit us sometimes. I couldn't figure out any big changes that had happened in the home that would cause her behavior. I purchased the box of calming collars and took one out to try it on her. It smelled very pleasant, and it was easy to put on her even though she had never had a collar on before. About a week went by before I began to notice any change in her. And then suddenly there she was again - our sweet, playful little girl. She wanted cuddles and loving and pretty much non-stop without any attitude at all. Not convinced it was all due to the collar, I removed it for a few days and her negative behaviors began to return so I put a new collar on her because it was time, and she has been her sweet self again now for 2 weeks. This has been a huge behavior adjustment, and such an easy way to fix the problem. I'm going to order some for my other female cat to see if she will stop being so dramatic. (I wonder could these work on people? Lol!) An unexpected bonus the collar offers is that it glows in the dark and makes it much easier to see kitties so they don't get stepped on at night. One of my cats suddenly began spraying sporadically in the house 3-4 months ago, which took me a while to notice since it was so random and the first time this has happened in the 2+ years he was born. After connecting the dots and such, I DID identify the cause (not health related, but territory related). Here's my experience with this collar. So, I put this on my one male/neutered kitty (actually cut to length for a breakaway collar and zip-tied it to the collar - since these pheromone collars are NOT breakaway which can be hazardous for kitties) as shown in the photos. Felt pretty proud of how well that turned out... BUT... in the three days after I put it on he actually began spraying around the house MORE often and in new, random areas. Keep in mind, nothing else had changed. I know his trigger for spraying is seeing an outdoor neighborhood male cat through the windows who is intact and sprays outside around the perimeter of the house. That cat wasn't around more often, and my kitty had no different or new access to the catio - which has been closed off for over a month now - or windows during the three days. Not to mention, the collars do have a scent that's pretty pleasant to my nose BUT cats are so sensitive to fragrance, essential oils, chemicals, etc, and I wasn't a fan of putting that on him. However, because the price was so good on this collar and I could not find ONE fragrance-free, pheromone-only collar, I decided to try this one out. Additionally, my guy has a kitten (well, she just turned one) who is a ball of love but also absolutely insane.. eating rubber, cords, plastic, knocking things over all hours of the night from lamps to water glasses to cologne bottles, and with no fear or hesitation despite water spray bottle threats. She's adorable but has him on his wit's end. And, yes, she does have an older kitty sister who tolerates and even plays with her, plus tons of stimulation and a great diet. Doesn't matter. She's nuts. This collar went on her too, and did it calm her down in the slightest? Absolutely not. And, no, it wasn't full or new moon time or anything else either. So, that's two for two on the negatives for this collar being calming in any stretch of the word. Basically, these collars just don't seem to work AT all and dare I say - made things worse. At least in regard to cat marking (and YES, he is neutered and has been since he was 3 months old... he's a little over 2 now). At least the Amazon return was easy. Do take heed though, if you do find a collar that works for you then make sure to attach it to a breakaway collar for safety like we did. Just ensure there are no sharp edges where you cut the zip-tie by burning with a lighter, or you can just wrap it around the breakaway collar with string rather than zip-ties. OH and, for what it's worth, I also tried the pheromone plugin refills from this brand... again, because it was SUCH a good deal compared to the more expensive name brand versions available. I had to return those 12 hours after plugging them in because they made my whole house smell like burning petroleum and plastic (and almost burned the actual plugin device to where I would've had to get new ones). I went to back to my original brand for refills and had no issues. ADDITIONAL TIP: What actually worked best for me in experience was name brand calming cat plugins in each room, also spritzing the calming spray in areas around the windows/where he sprayed in the past (after cleaning with an enzyme-destroying cleaner, of course), and actually just spraying the breakaway collar material directly with that calming spray - very mildly, just one or two sprays from a foot away AND NOT with the collar on the cat - every 2-3 days and then putting it back on him. Basically a DIY pheromone collar that actually did seem to work. I definitely don't suggest spraying the collar any more or more often than that though, because when I first did it I sprayed it right up close 2-3 times every other day and he actually seemed to get sick/lethargic in less than a week. I took it off completely and it took him about 3-4 days to get back to his normal self. So the above suggestion is strong from trial and error. You definitely want to go with less potent rather than more if doing this DIY trick. Hope this helps others in the same boat. I'm actually in the process of getting that outdoor neighborhood cat TNR'd (neutered and released) by next week so that the root cause of my kitty's indoor marking is resolved, too. Once we do that, going to pressure wash around the house perimeter with some enzyme-killing cleaner thrown in and hope to never experience another indoor marking-cleanup again!
