As a foster mom we're required to cover the mattresses with a waterproof covering. The first ones I bought were plastic and they did not hold up well at all! I love this mattress cover because it looks and feels like a regular mattress protector but still provides the water proofing that you want. It's soft and comfortable and has plenty of room to fit on a deeper mattress. I am very pleased!

I have an elderly, sick kitty and with that occasionally comes some unwanted bodily fluids, and usually on my bed, of all places. I get mattress protectors often because I go through them rapidly. This one is pretty standard - definitely waterproof, but not on the sides so be careful; I tend to layer them so I can quickly replace them, so it's usually a full-coverage waterproof topper on the bottom, plus this and another on top. No leaks, tears, etc. It's not super thick but I don't want or need it to be. The stock image right now looks inaccurate - it shows a mattress topper, butt hat's not what this is, it's just a mattress protector like a waterproof sheet. No complaints!

When the mattress pad arrived, I was a little surprised at how compact the package was. It turns out that this was due to it having a thinner top than one would find on a more traditional pad. The top is waterproof as claimed and it fit a queen size sleep number mattress perfectly. This is in a guest bedroom so other than a quick check when we made the bed, it hasn't been slept on. With the sleep number, I'm not concerned with the added padding that a traditional mattress pad would offer. It will protect the bed from any spills and since our dogs do get on the bed, we don't have to worry about drool. The pad was sewn well and the overall quality is good so if you are only looking for the protection factor and not worries about extra padding this would be a great choice.

It provides extra comfort and it covers both my mattress and my box spring. It is sturdy and stays on very well at the corners. I have an injured back and it provides extra support for my back which I love. It is machine washable but it is good size so you will need a large size loading machine. Hang dry or dry on a low setting.

I have a 12" deep foam mattress and two pugs that like to sleep on my bed every night--so far no accidents but I know they can happen, so decided to find a comfortable waterproof cover to protect my mattress. This one sounded good so I got it...I am very pleased with it so far! It is quilted but not too thick, and it's very soft and pliable--sure doesn't feel like any of the old waterproof mattress covers we used when the kids were small. It is so soft that I had to try pouring some water on it just to see if it really is waterproof and it is! It also had plenty of room left on the side past the bottom of my mattress, so it will fit an even thicker mattress than mine (see 2nd photo). I decided to place itthe cover right next to the mattress, beneath the thick mattress pad and bottom sheet, as I typically sleep hot and didn't want to make the bed any warmer; plus the mattress pad is washable if an accident happens. Honestly, I cannot tell I am sleeping on a waterproof anything--the bed is still nice and soft and comfortable. I hope I never actually need a waterproof pad for the mattress, but if I do, this one should save my mattress from ruination!

Actually keeps moisture on top of it, even if I don't understand it. Looks like it wouldn't. Looks and feels thin and breathable. Barely adds any thickness to the previous setup but will protect the ridiculously expensive mattress if anything happens to get a little (or a lot) wet or messy on top. Have fun!
