This cabinet arrived a few days early which was nice. I believe it was delivered in the dead of night. the box/container that it was shipped in wasn't in the greatest of shape so i was worried about concealed damage, but the cabinet was in good shape. I would have given a five for the Value for the money but i don't find anything these day's worth the price you have to pay, but if you buy on price alone, chances are you will get junk. I spent hours deciding which one to buy. I had a HON, but moved and it did not fit. So, I dreaded shopping for a new one after reading so many bad reviews. The cabinet came assembled and was NOT damaged. It is not heavy, but seems sturdy enough. I filled each drawer halfway, and when I open the top drawer, it does not tip forward. The drawers all glide smoothly and close properly. Aesthetically, it is just a standard file cabinet that I did not care what it looked like, since it went into a closet. I like it because it is Sturdy. It only had one dent in the back, but no one will see it. A lot of times when your order online it comes to you with several dents. So, I was happy with one small dent. They did box it up the best they could do.

It does exactly what it should do: stores documents. It looks beautiful. It is extremely lightweight. Comes fully assembled. It is affordable. This is lighter than other 4 drawer filing cabinets, but seems sturdy. It arrived unharmed (which, given the other reviews, was a significant concern). FedEx delivered it and took it up one flight of stairs to the second floor without difficulty. Unpacking was simple: a box cutter opened the box it came in, we slid it out and into place. The 22" depth is slightly shallower than the 4-drawer filing cabinet it's next to, but by mounting the two fronts flush, the rear is a few inches away from the wall and gives easy access to the light switch behind it. ... show more

    • Damaged during delivery...not well packaged
I was very hesitant to purchase this file cabinet due to the reviews. I received my package today and was so disappointed to see it extremely damaged. I packaged it right back up. The file cabinet it self was just what I needed. I wouldn’t say the material is very heavy duty but for the price, it was quite nice and otherwise would have been given 5 stars. Im not sure if everyone else’s cabinet was packaged the same way mine was, but it was not well packaged at all. Some foam and cardboard but definitely not enough for how fragile the material of the cabinet is, and like I said the material is NOT heavy duty. Not surprised it was damaged during delivery. I Just requested a return so hopefully that goes through fine, will update then. ... show more
