These are not anywhere close to professional clippers, but I can’t find mine, they’re somewhere in the attic. I needed to do a quick haircut, and these work for the job. They are not the best quality. These are not an investment. There are very few clips. You’re not going to be able to do the same things with them as a professional brand. They come with clips that aren’t really useful bc they are not able to hold a large quantity of hair, and very low quality scissors intended for hair but they are sheers. They are not sharp and they are not made the same as “scissors” for hair. This is generally just a diy at home haircut kit when you’re in a pinch. You could do a fade, if you really know what you’re doing & you’re able to go in with a fine tooth comb to finish it. But if you’ve never done that, there’s slim to none you’ll get the haircut you’re going for. You can use the guards and do a graduated haircut, but the most important part of cleaning up the hairline & actually getting it smooth & not choppy is still going to be based on your skill level. So if you’re thinking all you need is these to do a professional looking cut at home, you better know what you’re doing. I’ve worked with less, so it is possible to do a pretty good job, or if you just want a sideshave or something simple, these are super cost efficient, and the best part of the entire product is that the entire product fits in a plastic case that snaps closed & it’s small & compact and doesn’t take up too much space. ... show more

I got this hair cutting machine for myself, a mid 30's male. Because i recently cut off my very long hair I've had growing for years, almost my whole adult life I had it long. But I started going bold, so I figured finally it's time. I just cut it all off and shaved my head completely. And I wanted to keep that up, but I quickly realized how not easy that is to keep up. If I shaved once a week with my good Gillette razor, my skin would be burning n sensitive for days after every time, and the shaving itself took WAY longer than I anticipated. So I'd find myself in my bathroom in front of the mirror with my arms aching, exhausted and realize I've been there like 40 minutes already. So it really just too long n too much effort to keep up. So I came here to Amazon actually to search for a electric head shaver. But I realized that would probably take almost as long, and the reviews were saying it isn't really cutting much closer than regular clippers..... So I started looking for regular clippers instead. Lol. I figured I'll try that, and if I'm very unhappy with what it leaves, I'll shave with my razor afterwards, it would make the shave way way faster n easier. So I ended up selecting this kit. Mostly cause Conair is a name I know. And after my first time using it. I didn't bother shaving afterwards, and I figured, it's so much quicker, easier, less painful, than shaving. And the results are while not exactly like a shave, more like 2 or 3 days after a shave. But good enough for me for the payoff. Now my next issue was, that now a week later, I have still very short hair, but long enough that I want it off, so I wasn't sure how the machine will handle such short hair. I of course always have it get to the shortest setting, with no attachments used.... But I wasn't sure it could cut such short hair... But I was very pleasantly surprised by how well it did. I've been using it once a week since. And it's working fantastically so far.... I'm hoping it keeps going for a while. Cause idk.. I've never had very good luck with these... Love this clipper better than the Wahl brand I had purchased recently before this purchase, well this clipper set is way smoother and works so much better and doesn’t sound as loud. Glide like butter for the price it’s unbeatable. Easy 1-5 “open and closed” clipper buttons itself of the levers that usually do that function, just made it so much more user friendly for at home hair cuts. Super Easter to clean. And the cord is medium size. Very powerful but silent at the same time ! Love what it does to my hair compared to other clippers , it doesn’t pull or knick so easy. ... show more

DO NOT BUY THESE. Total garbage. I can’t tell if they broke the first time or just never worked. I had a pair of these that I bought 20 years ago and they just died. Obviously the company decided to sacrifice quality for profits. It’s criminal how poor these are.

I think all of us have at least one man in our life who very clearly needs to replace something, but they're convinced it's still got some good left. After telling my boyfriend repeatedly he needed new clippers, because you shouldn't have to smack them a bunch of times to turn on, and that yes, it does indeed sound like you're playing with a taser. These clippers work well, and they sound like most clippers do. It's not obnoxious, but you know it's on. There's a bunch of different heads. The scissors that came with it aren't the best but it's not like that was the point of the purchase. It's been about a year and they're still running strong with no issues (clogging specifically). ... show more
