I purchased this safe when I moved into my new apartment and it’s a great addition. The safe is very tough and rugged . My ar fits in it but it’s more like a two rifle safe but all in all ya very nice

In my opinion, this gun safe is a bit on the light side to considered a true safe. Someone with an angle grinder could cut it open in a matter of minutes. That said, it is a very robust gun cabinet and the locking mechanism is more substantial than most gun cabinets in a similar price bracket. While it wouldn't take a determined thief long to break in it would serve wonderfully well at keeping unauthorized people away from your firearms. The key pad and fingerprint reader both work very well for access. I particularly like the fingerprint reader for its ease of use and speed. There is a backup key to open the lock in the event that your batteries die. (The battery compartment is inside the safe, thus necessitating a means of access that doesn't rely on the electronics if the batteries die.) They also include a backup battery pack that can be plugged in on the outside to power the electronics in the event that the batteries are dead and you have lost the key. I should note that the cover that hides the key slot was defective on my safe and will not stay closed. Not a big deal but annoying all the same. The size of the safe is rather small. It will hold 3-4 long guns if they are relatively narrow guns. It will also hold a few pistols in the door mounted sleeves plus a few boxes of ammo on the top shelf. That is, if the long guns are short enough to facilitate using the top shelf. The unit comes with 3 different styles of rack supports in addition to the top shelf that allow you to configure how the long guns are stored. It is very important that you anchor this cabinet to the wall or floor. The balance is such that if not anchored it has a tendency to tip forward when the door swings open. Fortunately, there are anchors included for this purpose. All in all, it's a decent locking cabinet that is reasonably priced and would work well to keep unauthorized people (i.e. kids, untrained adults, etc.) away from your firearms.

I'm giving this a 2 star everything works perfect but it came damaged. Top right corner looks like someone tried breaking in to it. And when you go to shut it it won't close without giving it a Lil kick. Not happy bout it paid good money for it not to be broke. The size is reasonable, besides the damages it's appearance is not bad looking, it has great safety features,and really easy to install.

I want to start off this review by saying that there is absolutely nothing wrong with this product. In fact, I like it a lot and highly recommend it to anyone. I have to follow this with a bit of clarification, however. I have to write this phrase often when reviewing storage solutions designed to keep dangerous items away from wandering eyes and fingers: This is a secure storage solution, not a "safe". The distinction I draw between the two is that secure storage provides enough protection for items that it will deter viewing or accessibility to items from a casual observer. It will not provide "safety" from someone with some time and determination. Conversely, a "safe" is built in such a way that it can provide protection of items from someone with a little time and determination (and maybe tools) for a certain amount of time. A "safe" should have concrete lined walls covered by thick steel and significant metal around the areas that the locking lugs engage the body. This container has none of that. However, do not let this deter you! In many cases, simply having secure storage from wandering eyes/fingers is sufficient! In these cases, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG with this item. In fact it is extremely nice for the price. The entire container is very sturdy and is made out of reasonably thick metal that is finished in a very durable paint. The mounting options are really good, with pre-drilled holes in the back and bottom for nearly any mounting need. The door and hinge is rugged and sturdy and the locking mechanism is a big step above the cheap flat steel sliding lock type containers. The inside of the container is extremely well provisioned. The material lining the inside of the case is plush and completely covers the inside surfaces. The container comes with three adjustable racks that can be used or removed to properly hold a number of different items of various lengths. It even comes with a removable shelf that is a rare feature at this price range. It is also extremely compact on the outside, which allows for all sorts of creative mounting options. The best security starts with obscurity, and a container of this size makes it much easier to tuck away in a non-obvious place. My mounting decision was inside an out-of-way-closet (see picture). The fingerprint and code entry works quickly and easily. The safe beeps a lot when entering your code or fingerprint however, and I have not found a way to turn that off. It also comes with two keys and a handy external power supply for regaining access when the internal batteries die. For the price, it is hard to find a better solution than this item. I am very impressed!

I have lots of minor issues. It’s kind of flimsy. The shelves are poorly designed. My sporting shotgun doesn’t fit. The pistol holsters should be Velcro or magnet so they can move. But the biggest issue is that so far on 3 seperate occasions all of the fingerprints and passwords have reset requiring the key and re-entering them. It seems the process for setting 2nd code also resets the administrator code. Just a few tweaks and this could be 4+ star product.

I ordered this Qiranui 4-5 Biometric Rifle Gun safe.....errrr.....cabinet to hold my small rifle collection. I would not consider this a safe because the metal is rather thin. It is a very good gun cabinet though. I house is pretty secure with cameras etc. so I think this cabinet will work well for me. The children have all moved out. I will mount this in the storage area of my house and secure it to the wall. Securing it is vital because merely opening the door will cause this cabinet to fall forward. The locking bolts are substantial however I wish there was a bolt on the top and bottom of the door. The biometrics work quite well along with the keypad code. If those fail, it includes two keys. I think this is a pretty good value for this style of gun cabinet.
