This is a solid tool. The quick-release button is pretty slick. People are saying the rotating function is kind of grindy, and it is, but you're not going to use it as a rotary table. At least, I hope not. It's bigger than I expected, and won't bolt onto table of my old drill press. I'll have to make an adapter plate. Worth the money.

This is a basic machining vise at a reasonable price. It's obviously intended to be set up once and not regularly adjusted, as there's no tool-less quick release for the rotation. Thus it's not a bench vise that you'd regularly readjust orientation to work on different items. This is a low profile vice that you'd typically use on a flat bed router or CNC machine to clamp parts and work on the top surface. Unfortunately it's too big for my little hobby unit! It's also a bit rough to adjust, but hopefully that will wear in and smooth out.

If you have a drill press then this vice is a must have. It makes your drill press much easier to use and really locks down what you are working on. It was easy to install on my Craftsman drill press.

The media could not be loaded. This is a really good bench/drill press vice for the price. My only issue with it would be the way you tighten the vice to the swivel base. You have to use a socket or wrench with makes it a little inconvenient. The swivel feature on the vice is a little rough, but I believe it'll smooth out once the paint and burrs wear down. As mentioned above, the way you tighten it down is a little inconvenient. I can work with it but I'll be looking for some way to improve this in the future. The vice opens a little wider than the advertised 4.25". It clamps down on items well and I don't see any issue with it. It also has a nice feature that allows you to push a button down and slide the vice open or closed so you don't have to sit there spinning the handle forever. Very handy and should offset the swivel issue. The jaw inserts look good. They're a little sharp on the edges and corners. I plan on filing mine down a little just to make sure it's not so easy to tear my hands open on them. They should take care of this before shipping them out. It comes with four large bolts to bolt it to your press or table. They're about 1/2" x 2". Overall, this is a great vice for the money. It'll come in very handy, and fits my Wen bench drill press just fine. I'd have no problems recommending it to others. Hope this helps.

I have a floor drill press that I wanted to get a 4 inch vise for. So, when this product became available, I ordered it. Here is what I found: 1. The bolt pattern in this vise does not match up with the pattern on the drill press to be able to use all 4 bolts. But it will align so that two bolts are engaged. That is what you are actually looking for and that works well. 2. The included bolts may work well for attaching to a work bench after you enlarge the slots on the vise. The threads will not pass through without using force, which is not good for the threads. Filling out the slots allowed the bolts to fit without problems. 3. The bolts included to mount the unit appear to be 17mm and the adjustment bolds for the rotation feature appears to be 5/8 inch. Interesting mix. 4. The rotation feature works well, The one caution I have for you is that the finish is rough and as such, there are metal splinters on the rotating part. I took it apart and sanded the parts and then cleaned and oiled them. They now are good to go. 5. The quick release works well for fast release and for fast sizing. After cleaning it up, I am pleased with it and would recommend it as long as you take the time to clean it up before using.

I got this for my Wren drill press but and it fits perfectly on it but I also used it to hold still a custom bushing press I was skimming with my angle grinder in the driveway. It did that job perfectly, once it got tightened the cup didn't move at all while it was being sanded down aggressively with a 36 grit flapper disc on the grinder. The quick release button makes it easy to adjust faster. The helical rod is a bit rough but that helps with keeping the vise tight under vibration so it's not a big deal. The package came with 4 bolts + washers + nuts to attach to any drill press base. The overall height you add to your setup is around 2 and bit inches so it doesn't rob too much vertical space.

Not a whole lot to say here. This is a decent, heavy vise. It isn't particularly polished or smooth in its operation, but that is to be expected. I'm knocking a star off for general fit and finish and also that they should have included wing nuts for the stops instead of nuts. It's very hard to position this way. I do very much like the quick release jaws however. Simple push of the button and you can move the jaws open and closed easily.
