I already have DEWALT 20V Max batteries, so buying this cordless grinder and without a battery was a great option for me and helped avoid buying another battery and charger. The brushless motor provides plenty of power, and I like the two rugged metal safety guards, 3-speed settings, variable-speed trigger, and soft-start feature. I also use it for my 3D-printed projects, especially for smoothing and polishing printed parts, and it works very well for that purpose. I’ve used this grinder for a few small projects and so far I’m very happy with it. It works well with my DeWalt 20V batteries and has plenty of power for cutting and grinding. The brushless motor runs smoothly, and I like having three speed settings depending on what I’m working on. It feels solid in the hand and the side handle makes it easy to control. For the price, this is a very useful cordless tool to have around the garage. Definitely a good value.

Don't plan on doing any heavy grinding with it. The motor is not as strong as a real DeWalt. It's also a lot lighter of a tool, which has its advantages as we get older. I got it as a cheap lightweight tool just to run a wire brush for welding prep. And it's perfect for that.

Finally got this machine so i can fix my exhaust pipe. I'm honestly super impressed. For the price, it's an incredible deal. The package comes with absolutely everything you need to get started right away – there are multiple cutting discs, flap wheels, and even two different guards. That's really thoughtful, so you don't have to immediately run to the hardware store for accessories. The grinder itself feels solid and well-made. I bought 2 of these grinders. The arbor was out of alignment on both of them. You could easily see the grinding disks wobble. I won't order a 3rd one. And yes the nuts holding the disks were on correctly and tight.

Just because it uses a DeWalt battery does not mean it’s DeWalt quality. It works. Mine ran. If you rarely need this tool and you’re on a budget, it will do in a pinch. That’s the honest use case. Build quality is not great. Plastics and fittings feel lighter than a name-brand tool. I’m not confident it would survive if you leaned on it—binding, prying, or a long hard day. Everyday jobsite use is not what this is built for. Treat it like an occasional helper, not a daily driver. The battery interface is the selling point: if you already own 20V DeWalt packs, you don’t buy another battery system. Convenient. It is not the same as buying a DeWalt tool. Different housing, different internals, different expectations. If you need this function often, spend more on a tool made for that. If you need one cheap because it sits most of the year, this did the job for me. I didn’t abuse it. I also wouldn’t bet the house on it staying together if I did. Budget tool. Light use. Know that going in.
