I have owned several 3D pens in the past including the Create which was the previous version of this pen. The last version was really good and I've used it a lot for the last 2 years. I saw this and was excited about the 1.75mm filament, it arrived quickly and first thing I made was the Wright Flyer. The pen extrudes really smoothly and being able to use a 1.75mm reel is great for extended use. The screen is a nice addition, I don't use ABS very often but once and easy to switch and it's cool to watch the temperature rise. Another bonus is the USB C lead, it does say to use the adapter included but it worked fine in my MacBook. ... show more

I’m a huge fan of 3Doodler products - so much that I’ve purchased each pen they have offered. The problem I always had was that their pens used a filament that was hard to justify purchasing for my typical large projects. I’d found a financial balance between using 1.75mm filament pens and 3Doodler 3.0mm filament pens for my large products. The 3doodler pens never let me down. They lasted for years. The many 1.75mm pens with cheaper color options failed me more times I can count. Now the 3Doodler gods have answered my prayers. They have performed the miracle of marrying their reliable technology with the many artistic options of 1.75mm filament. The pen is also compatible with the accessories I purchased over the years. This thing is just a tone of fun, it's the 3rd 3D Doodler I have purchased, all of my old accessory worked with it, that is awesome! This is an amazing upgrade to the previous generation that I had originally! Being able to use any type of filament that I previously had is so convenient. It also allows me to doodle for significantly longer! It is so easy to use and even the packaging is fantastic.
