I use klipper with mainsail, and the process if wiring it, you are on your own, but after you do that, it works ALMOST perfectly. the normal bltouch commands don't work, but the only important one, G28, does. Make sure your wiring is good and you wont have issues. Great product

My Sovol Sv04 printer suddenly would not lower the gantry, the z value was way off. I figured that the bed level sensor must show being already down on the bed when it wasn't. There was no obvious damage to the sensor and following a recommendation on Reddit, I bought this sensor at this insane low price. The connector cables come with it but I didn't need them since the existing cable connector fits. There were also screws and cramps in the bag which I did not need to use. This is really plug and play. Make sure you route all the cables neatly after installation. I did a bed leveling and all is good now. BTW, the open part goes towards the back of the printer.

Ordered this to help upgrade the levelling (or lack thereof) my Ender 3 V2. Installation was not straightforward, to say the least. Had to crimp a few wires and make sure I got the wire order correct. After that, I tried flashing firmware, which worked initially but had no power going to the 3d touch sensor(no light). Tried to re arrange wiring then re flashed firmware, but printer had bricked (black screen). Tried numerous firmware bin files until I figured the 3d touch could be the problem. Completely unplugged 3d touch and tried flashing normal firmware, which worked instantly. Conclusion is faulty sensor(faulty 3d touch) causing issues with the motherboard and firmware. Do NOT cheap out, buy the CR Touch and save yourself weeks of headache, now out of the return window too!

For fun I switched my official CR touch out to try this on my main printer before I had the intended printer together to install this on. Its a normal BL touch clone, my second clone and have had great results with. My only issue with it was connecting the DuPont connectors to the board, as some pins were loose, but I just replaced loose connectors with new ones and it was fine. It was more accurate than my official CR touch.

I run a small 3d print shop for some special needs people, you know autistic, and folks that have had severe TBI. I have more then a couple machines and keeping up with them can be a pain in the butt. I have a couple machines with the crtouch system installed and those machines rarely give me issues. This is due to the auto leveling. I make absolutely no money at this so whatever parts are required to keep things running comes directly out of my pocket. I have milled about on whether or not to purchase these for a while. I found these and saw the price also that the seller would accept returns should it not function. I thought to myself mess on it I will get some and try them out. I puchased 8 of them, that isn't as many as I would have liked but it is as many as I could afford at the time. Now for the information you are all waiting for. These work exactly as advertised thus far admittedly I have not gotten all of them installed as of yet but the 4 I have installed have given me no issue whatsoever at this point. I have them installed on numerous different boards all of which would be for an ender 3. I have had issue finding a good firmware for them when using the creality 4.2.7 board but that has nothing to do with the product or the seller. As far as ease of installation it really couldn't be simpler my autistic son had absolutely no issue installing one so for those that say they are tech savy and couldn't install it incredibly easily perhaps you should reevaluate that thought. For accurracy the device is as accurate as your firmware will allow I have found no large deviation in its measurements. For the durability of the device time will tell I have only had them for a short while but there should be no doubt that these guys will definitely put them through the paces. As for length of time for prints they print things that can take as little as 30min. up to 6 days so we will definitely know how well they hold up soon enough. We will be adding one of them to a longer LK5 Pro as soon as I either find firmware for that or compile some myself. Finding a suitable mount was not difficult you can print one easily I highly recommend printing it at 80+% infill and you should have no issue even if you use standard PLA. The only complaint I have at all and it really isnt much of a complaint is that the cable could use to be a bit longer. All in all it is a functional design that works nothing special. I am pleased with this purchase, and should I need another bed probe I will more than likely get more.

I'm not new to printing or electronics, so I was well prepared for this install. I'm actually setting up a spare Ender 3 in a fairly basic configuration, so I can print while the experimental machine is up or down for upgrades. It's down a lot, because I'm always making changes, but there are things to print. The experimental machine has been running with a BLTouch for over 2 years, and I really love it. I thought this would be great for the spare machine. It got the old Creality 4.2.7 board from the experimental machine. Otherwise, it was an almost brand new machine. This looks almost just like the BLTouch. If it weren't for the name on the sticker, you could think it's a BLTouch. I mount mine backwards, with the wire accessible, and the name hidden. So anyone looking at it would be sure it was a genuine BLTouch. I really wanted to write a review helping a small business, and saying that these affordable units are good enough. I love "good enough" cheap parts. This isn't one of them. It took a little experimentation to figure out the right plug configuration. I did get it to do a probe homing most of the time. Some of the time, it wouldn't detect, and shove the nozzle into the bed. Despite wasting a couple days trying, I never got it to successfully test 25 points (5x5) for a bed leveling. I considered other problems. Maybe my board was bad? Maybe there were angry ghosts in the machine? So I gave up, and pulled this one out. I thought for a day that I'd just run without, but I was having occasional adhesion problems, if it was a small print on particular parts of the bed. I went and ordered a real BLTouch. When it arrived, I installed it, and it was perfect. It detected the bed. It scanned all the points. Since I had spent so much time on it, I decided to experiment with UBL too. The real BLTouch works perfectly, and it "just worked" with the same firmware that didn't work right with the 3D Touch. Since others are saying that it does work to a degree, maybe I got a bad unit. That happens, especially on discount hardware. Their budgets frequently don't include QA testing, and can have cheap "good enough" parts. If you don't mind extra testing, and are ok with maybe replacing it to get a working one, this one may be for you. I just got really tired of wasting time on something that should have worked. If you do opt for this, you can help mitigate the problems it has with being a little inconsistent in the Marlin Configuration.h by setting MULTIPLE_PROBING to 2, and EXTRA_PROBING to 1 . Those will do multiple tests, and average the results. It's a little extra time doing the bed leveling, but it should make up for inaccuracy. I don't want to mess with the return/exchange process to try to get a working one. I have a lot of other things to do.

Been using this unit for quite a while now works great with a stock ender 3 control unit. I now upgraded the ender 3 with a raspberry pi and it works phenomenal Yes it has a plastic tip mine hasn't worn out then again I don't print that much but I do have long prints to take up to 7 to 8 hours sometimes more.
