Features

  • The 3D Touch auto leveling sensor is a device that uses the Hall defect to achieve leveling .The position of the point can be obtained by touching the point on the heated bed ,and then compensated by adjusting the Z-AXIS height during printing ,Printing can also be achieved even though the platform is not flat .
  • Features simple, smart and precise. It could work with nearly any kind of bed materials, such as glasses, woods, metals and so on. The position of the point can be obtained by touching the point on the heated bed, and then compensated by adjusting the z-axis height during printing.
  • The main functions and controls of 3D touch are the same as most auto bed leveling sensors, which consists of a RC servo and a micro switch,thus,3D printer touch can be used on almost every 3D printer control board.
  • NOTE: Pulling/pushing hardly on the push-pin may damage Touch sensor and make it less accurate. Any problem when you receive the order, CONTACT US FIRST please!
  • By using progressively designed solenoid and hall sensor, it can integrate high precision in such a simple structure. To make it more user-friendly and to bring you more enjoyable printing experience.

  • works great, got two in service!
Color: 3D Touch
The media could not be loaded. Replaced the magnetic sensor on my Sovol SV07 so I could use a glass build plate (video). Got another one installed on a Sovol SV01. Both probes work great and reliably. Getting the wiring right was my greatest concern especially since on the SV07 the same micro JST connector can plug both in the probe and in the toolhead breakout board on which the pin order is mirrored. You *don't* want to go simply by wire color, always check the pinouts before connecting. I'm attaching the wiring diagram for installing this. ... show more

  • Literally useless.
Color: 3D Touch
I was incredibly disappointed by this product, it included ZERO instructions on how to install and use. It includes an assortment of random parts that were mostly useless, which blew my mind. It does NOT include a mount either meaning I had to buy one separately in order to use it. The parts are poorly made and I wouldn't be surprised if it breaks after a short period of time. After creating my own mount, I tested the touch sensor and it is essentially useless. It is very inaccurate and frequently causes errors due to uneven leveling. I have tested and changed setting to see if I could make it work but it is impossible due to how inaccurate the sensor is. ... show more

  • Good but needs wiring changes
Color: 3D Touch
General thoughts: After getting it wired up the product works as I needed. It definitely got rid of the bed leveling issue that I was having with my new CR-10S. I have a Prusa i3 Mk3S as my first printer and it does not require manual bed tramming/leveling. I was really frustrated trying to get good prints and this cured that problem. You will also need to flash a firmware that adds BL Touch to your firmware. I was already running a custom version of Marlin from TH3D and just added it into the profile. The product should have better choices for how to wire into printers with external control boxes. You will need to provide your own connectors to join the short harness and long harness to make a place to separate for maintenance. Also just the long single cable would be too short to reach for a tall printer like the CR-10. Pros: * Fixed my first layer problem * Reasonable cost * It works with the correct wiring (see image) Cons: * 2 cables don't joint together * 200 mm cable is worthless unless you add new connectors to join with 1 m cable * Needed to de-burr the end of the probe to make it flat I would recommend this to hobbyist that know how to configure or wire up custom stuff to their printer. If you are a beginner, you might want to consider getting a kit that is more user friendly out of the box. ... show more

  • Well, the one I received isn't good.
Color: 3D Touch
I'm not new to printing or electronics, so I was well prepared for this install. I'm actually setting up a spare Ender 3 in a fairly basic configuration, so I can print while the experimental machine is up or down for upgrades. It's down a lot, because I'm always making changes, but there are things to print. The experimental machine has been running with a BLTouch for over 2 years, and I really love it. I thought this would be great for the spare machine. It got the old Creality 4.2.7 board from the experimental machine. Otherwise, it was an almost brand new machine. This looks almost just like the BLTouch. If it weren't for the name on the sticker, you could think it's a BLTouch. I mount mine backwards, with the wire accessible, and the name hidden. So anyone looking at it would be sure it was a genuine BLTouch. I really wanted to write a review helping a small business, and saying that these affordable units are good enough. I love "good enough" cheap parts. This isn't one of them. It took a little experimentation to figure out the right plug configuration. I did get it to do a probe homing most of the time. Some of the time, it wouldn't detect, and shove the nozzle into the bed. Despite wasting a couple days trying, I never got it to successfully test 25 points (5x5) for a bed leveling. I considered other problems. Maybe my board was bad? Maybe there were angry ghosts in the machine? So I gave up, and pulled this one out. I thought for a day that I'd just run without, but I was having occasional adhesion problems, if it was a small print on particular parts of the bed. I went and ordered a real BLTouch. When it arrived, I installed it, and it was perfect. It detected the bed. It scanned all the points. Since I had spent so much time on it, I decided to experiment with UBL too. The real BLTouch works perfectly, and it "just worked" with the same firmware that didn't work right with the 3D Touch. Since others are saying that it does work to a degree, maybe I got a bad unit. That happens, especially on discount hardware. Their budgets frequently don't include QA testing, and can have cheap "good enough" parts. If you don't mind extra testing, and are ok with maybe replacing it to get a working one, this one may be for you. I just got really tired of wasting time on something that should have worked. If you do opt for this, you can help mitigate the problems it has with being a little inconsistent in the Marlin Configuration.h by setting MULTIPLE_PROBING to 2, and EXTRA_PROBING to 1 . Those will do multiple tests, and average the results. It's a little extra time doing the bed leveling, but it should make up for inaccuracy. I don't want to mess with the return/exchange process to try to get a working one. I have a lot of other things to do. ... show more
