  • Meh...
Size: 128 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
--- 20Mar2017 Update --- I was asked if I had an update to my review, as it has been awhile. 3D Towel Kleen will clean your Microfiber Towels pretty good. Removing the types of residue usually found on towels used for Auto Detailing and Car Care in general. It will not remove oil, grease or other heavy stains from mf's. But to be fair I've not yet found a Microfiber Detergent that will. I think it's the way the Microfiber Towels themselves are made. They hold onto some stains like anything. I've also used it to wash Bath Towels (cotton) and it does a good job there as well. It's economical in that you really don't need to use a lot of product, unless your washing a very big load. So 1 gallon should keep you for awhile. I start w/.50 oz and work up from there. My chief complaint still stands however. It's easy to end up having to run multiple rinse cycles if you overshoot with the amount you add to the wash. The label makes no guidelines on how much to use other than "no more than 2 oz". It's very important to me that the product I use to clean my Microfibers rinse clean. There's no point in me buying a special detergent, and waiting to have it shipped, to wash my microfiber towels; if I have to do the same things I do with say All Free-n-Clear. Which I can get locally. When this gallon is up I'll move on to something else. Or just go back to using All Free-n-Clear and stop wasting my time. --- End Update --- Over the years I've used many so-called microfiber laundry detergents. Is there really a need for special detergents when cleaning microfiber towels? Who's to say. But they usually rinse cleaner without multiple rinse cycles and that's my main reason for using them. I didn't find 3D Towel Kleen any more spectacular than the other products I tried. It does clean the towels and leaves them soft. If I have one gripe it's that the instructions only mention using 2 oz for some commercial laundry machine. Irregardless of the size of the load being washed. I put that amount in my top loading machine with about 5 towels as a test to see well it rinsed out. Ended up having to run them through several rinse cycles to get all the soap out. Just like with free and clear laundry soap I have used. I'll try using 1 oz next time and see how that goes. As an aside, while similar products on the market have the consistency of a degreaser Towel Kleen is more like a laundry detergent. Time will tell if this is a keeper or if I'll move on to something else. ... show more

  • Great product for the price.
Size: 128 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
After using this for the first time I wasn't impressed. I only used about 1 1/2 cap fulls and my microfiber cloths and towels did not come out as clean as I was expecting. I actually started the return process for the product. After reading the reviews I decided to give it a second try with about 3 cap fulls of the detergent plus an extra rinse. This time I found the results to be as good if not better with the chemical guys product and at a lower price. I cancelled my return and will now be using this product for cleaning all my microfiber items. ... show more

  • EXCELLENT MICROFIBER DETERGENT
Size: 128 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This microfiber detergent works incredibly well. It's shockingly much less expensive than some microfiber detergents, yet it cleans effectively and efficiently even in cool and cold water. It also rinses completely clean provided you follow the directions and don't over-dispense too much of this detergent at once. If you do happen to use too much, it'll create big suds in your HE washer. Fortunately, it will still rinse clean provided you run one or two additional rinse cycles depending on how much detergent you actually used. This detergent also works great on fine washables such a delicates, merino wool, and even large bed comforters. For large bed comforters, you will need to use double or triple the recommended detergent amount and perhaps rinse the comforter once or twice more after you finish washing it, depending on how well your comforter fits into your washer. In comparison to other microfiber detergents, such as Chemical Guys and more expensive brands, Towel Kleen cleans and rinses comparably well. And at its lower price, this one is a definite keeper. UPDATE October 9, 2016: After going through several gallons of this 3D microfiber detergent, I have yet to come up with a single complaint about this product. It was well worth its original purchase price on Amazon a year ago when it was 20% less than other microfiber detergents. However, that purchase price has significantly skyrocketed recently, which offsets the (former) attractiveness of this 3D microfiber detergent in comparison to other microfiber detergents, such as the Chemical Guys' microfiber detergent. Currently, the Chemical Guys' microfiber detergent is 10% - 15% less than this 3D detergent if you buy the Chemical Guy detergent as a "subscription" through Amazon. And while both detergents are comparable in their ability to clean, I give the Chemical Guys' microfiber detergent the slight edge over this 3D product for cleaning microfiber towels. I'm currently still using this 3D detergent for all of my light- and dark-colored colored laundry, including my microfiber towels. It smells good, works great and rinses clean; it's great for microfiber and all other colored laundry, including fine wool washables. Nevertheless, once I exhaust my current supply of this 3D product, I'll be switching over to the Chemical Guys' microfiber detergent instead. ... show more
