I've wanted these lamps for ages. They'd sit in my wish list until I finally had the spare money to buy a pair, only to be out of stock when I'd go to buy them. By the time they'd be restocked, the money would be spent on some surprise bill, and this would repeat forever. I recently got a new house and made it my mission to get these lamps. I finally have them and they do not disappoint. They are a thick and sturdy resin, brush painted to look like a timeless teak wood. This brings the price down into a reasonable range, compared to what actual teak lamps would cost. Assembly was non-existent. It consisted of removing a thousand (sarcasm) yards of plastic from the lamp shades, and adding light bulbs. I am absolutely in LOVE with this lamp! I have wanted this lamp for what seems like forever. Seriously. It's been on my wish list for at least a year and I have looked at it often longingly. Finally, I ordered it since I moved into a new house which I'm decorating in a mid century/southwest style. No, this lamp is NOT wood, but honestly I prefer that it isn't. I've had wood lamps in the past and they can be difficult to keep clean and dust and keep from changing in tone with age. This lamp is resin with a finish that from afar looks like polished wood. Up close you can tell that it is not wood and it is a bit shinier than I anticipated, however, this lamp looks absolutely stunning in person IMO, and looks absolutely fantastic in my living room! The lamp shade is perfect in every way and it even matches the shades I have on my other lamps, which is a total bonus. This lamp is sturdy and gorgeous and I honestly couldn't be happier that I finally own it! It really elevates the entire look of my living room and is the perfect mid century style accent lamp. I love this lamp for just that reason - it is simple and according to the rest of the room's decor can be elegant - I've two lamps in the room that make a statement and did not want another to compete - this design is perfect in a casual but traditional room that includes wood baseboards and ceiling trim - the light is just enough to read and the lamp is high enough without overpowering the end table - I'm using a 100 watt bulb - not enough to do embroidery but enough that in the evening it is the only lamp lite and I can read sitting close so the light shines on the page. This lamp resembles a wooden lamp in a mid-century modern style. It is elegant and certainly evokes the mid century feel from afar, but reveals its shortcomings up close. Namely, it becomes clear that the wood is not real and it is much too lightweight to be a true midcentury lamp. If this were the only flaw, I would have given it four stars; however, the page clearly says it includes USB connectivity technology in the Features and Specs, but no such USB connection is available. ... show more

Love the mid-century style and solid design of this lamp and the beautiful beige color of the high quality lampshade. I only wish you could turn it in at the bulb vs a switch down on the power cord. Other than that design issue, it’s a great looking compact table top lamp.
