This floor lamp is very high quality for the price, it’s well made, solid, and has a heavy base. The overall design and finish is beautiful. Parts fit together well. There’s the base, two pole sections, and the top lamp holder section. Once screwed together the seams are very nearly invisible. It’s not thin or wobbly like many other floor lamps at this price point. The base is heavy with a wide padded bottom, and it includes a few extra felt pads to level the lamp if it’s on an uneven floor. I didn’t need those extra leveling pads as the lamp was perfectly vertical without them. Packaging is very sturdy. Take your time unpacking it, and note the two vertical rods tucked into the side of the thick styrofoam padding. Assembly is easier if two people do it, with one holding the top lamp holder and vertical rod as the other screws the sections together. Remember to pull excess slack power cord from the base as you assemble each section. I did put a bit of light grease on the small top rod that holds the shade, that made it easier to screw into the lamp holder section. All in all a stylish floor lamp at a great price. ... show more

    • A nice looking lamp. Appearance seems less modern thank matching table lamps.
This is a substantial lamp and looks expensive. Assembly required more than the table lamps but was easy enough the extra work not unexpected. Compared to the matching table lamps, I think they are less of a modern look and a little more classical. Shade is a true white. I like the bulb operation pulls much better than a foot switch than many other floor lamps seem to have. ... show more

Perfect! I was looking for a modern/industrial style lamp and this was a good choice. The product is very well packed. Didn't think I would ever get it out of the box. Easy instructions to follow and do follow the included instructions or you will end up having to take apart again to thread all the extra wiring into the top piece of the lamp. Lamp was taller than expected, which I liked very much. The large drum shade is a linen fabric, and has two pull chains for the bulbs (not included). Very easy to assemble, the finial is not gaudy and the silvery gray color is what I hoped for. It is quite heavily weighted in the base which I also liked. This lamp replaced one of the "three way" bulbs that I hated because I had to go through two levels to get the one I wanted. So impressed by the quality of this lamp. It's really sturdy. It's classic and modern looking at the same time. We are using it behind a chair but wish we could see the whole lamp because it's that impressive looking.

It’s hard to find a floor lamp that doesn’t have a super thin pole. This actually has a pretty wide pole and the lamp has a good weight to it. I like the 2 pull chains. The only negative thing I can say about it is the stem at the top where the finial is supposed to screw onto is barely long enough to grasp the ball finial.
