Right above the text box to enter in these words were a few options for selecting how many stars you would give a given category. The three categories listed were weatherproof, sturdiness and how hard it was to put together. Weatherproof would indicate rain sunshine and colder temperatures. The roof has a coating of shingle like rocks upon it so I would imagine that the rain would remove all but the most stuck on rocks. It has not been exposed to that much weather yet, but it does not strike me as a quality that can easily stand up to lots of weather. Sturdiness would be what the material is made out of and how much weight or violence it could withstand. I have no plans to smack it with anything hard so I don’t know how well it will stand up to violence, but knowing that it’s not made out of anything other than MDF (which doesn’t respond well to moisture) doesn’t give me much confidence that it will survive very long. But it could surprise me. Easy to Put Together: this is where this product fails hard in my opinion. The instructions aren’t made with a lot of clarity & detail. I spent a lot longer than i wanted to trying to figure out how a panel was attached which made a lot of other pieces not fit correctly. The floor of the dog house is not a solid piece but rather 3 pieces that are supported by 2 rails that do not stay in place very easily. A lot of people in the reviews claim the roof is hard to put on by yourself & i would argue that it is NOT hard to put on if you lay the kid on top and then lean the structure forward to screw in the hinges.

Very hard to put together Multiple pieces screws dangerous for pet. Pieces were missing and holes missing Extra Piecest included.

Not the easiest to put together but great product. The metal is not thick but it holds up well and is a good size. We have 3 dogs that range from corgi size to large and they all fit. I like that my golden can chew on it.

It is obviously super cute in my patio area, however I did not read that the entire thing is sheet metal. So I bled quite a bit from cuts. Manufacturer does supply gloves but I struggled holding on the hardware while I was building it. Also, I live in a part of the country that gets to be above 110 in the summer and I fear that would be too much for my tortoise, so I ended up getting a screen to keep the house out of direct sun light and lined the bottom with some good hay.

I volunteer at an animal shelter and purchased this dog house for Bluey, who chewed up his Petmate dog house. So I was searching for something that would withstand him chewing on it, this appeared to be long lasting as advertised. However, Bluey was able to damage this dog house in less than 24 hours so I posted a negative review with the photos of the damaged house. The seller read the review and contacted me through Amazon to notify me they would refund my money. I was very thankful for this great customer service. Here’s a photo of Bluey looking very happy with the dog house until he damaged it!

We'll we were disappointed due to we were at final steps by putting on the roof tops and the holes for the bottom and top support beams did not match so we could not complete the dog house as we do not have power tools now need to buy or rent a drill to drill matching holes.
