Chose this for a cruise trip to Alaska. Flattering cut, soft fabric, and nice color. Travelled well without holding wrinkles. Love the interior pockets to keep things dry and safe. Fleecing lining kept me toasty warm in temps around 40F. Outer layer was completely wind resistant and water repelling. However, I would say the outer layer does start to hold some water if out in steady rain but it does not soak through to the inner layer. Did not experience torrential downpours so cannot say to how it would perform in those conditions. Dries reasonably quickly and doesn’t not hold any odors from air drying. I love this jacket. It’s exactly what I wanted. It’s between a light jacket and a heavy coat. It’s well build and feels like an upscale brand to me. Completely comfortable and cozy. I don’t usually zip up my jackets, but this one I can comfortably do and I still think it looks great. It has handy pockets on the inside and the outside pockets are nice and deep. Perfect to keep your hands warm. I’m headed to Denver but only mildly cold so this will be perfect; not too bulky. I wear 16-18 and ordered the XL. Fits love a comfy cozy glove. ... show more

Excellent jacket! Even if you are planning on wearing thick sweaters under it, I would not suggest to size up., stick to your usual size. If planning on wearing only an underlayer top or fitted shirt, you could even size down for a more fitted look. Great quality and kept me comfortably warm on the Pacific Coast of Oregon and also dry hiking waterfalls. The softshell makes it very comfortable and also washed it 2 times already, and quality is intact! The outer layer doesn't get dirty as easily either. Very warm and true to water proof. The color and fabric was warm, light weight, the color sage was such a different approach to a jacket. The lining of fleece help break the wind. I used this for an Alaska cruise and it was a great choice. The zipper had the covering to keep air and rain outside . The zipper pockets were strong material and inside pocket held items also. Beautiful light weight jacket. Nice and warm and the material is soft and comfortable. This can be worn on cool Spring or fall type weather . I love the fit; it’s not bulking; and fits nicely over larger hips. 4 stars - My only minor negative is the description said the wrist cuffs were adjustable and they are not. The cuffs have a stretch material so that helps but you cannot adjust them. The sleeves are a bit long for me and adjustable wrist cuffs would be nice. I’ll sew the wrists for tightening to better fit me. Because everything else about this jacket is so nice I’m keeping it. ... show more

I cannot say ENOUGH good things about this Jacket. I bought it for my trip abroad to Italy and wore it everyday. It is so comfy , true to size and the Pockets - I LOVE the amount of pockets it has. I could keep my euros in the arm pocket and never have to unzip the jacket part. It was a great purchase for the price and I want to get another one . I never got too hot , It was very Breathable and When it rained the water just trickled right off it. I love this jacket!! The outer material is sturdy and strong, yet pliable enough to fold nicely over arm when carrying it, the inner layer is thin and soft. Super comfy without being bulky. The zippers are high quality. The jacket is perfect for spring and fall, and also perfect on wet days. I am very impressed with the quality! I am usually between a size medium and a large. I am 5’3” and 150 pounds with a muscular build. I went with the large size and it is perfect. A little snug with a hooded sweatshirt, but nice and roomy with a tshirt or long sleeve sweater, sweatshirt without a hood. If you are between sizes, I would definitely recommend sizing up as opposed to down. It has a slightly fitted, feminine yet athletic fit to it, which is exactly what I wanted. Not boxy at all. I love this jacket! I needed something warm for my Alaska trip and this was perfect. I wore it in the rain and it never soaked through. Also wore in high winds and temperatures atop a glacier and I never felt the cold. On its own, the jacket is pretty lightweight, but it's lined in very soft fleece-like material, which helps keep you warm. My stats: 5'2, size 14, DD breasts, apple shape.
