This review is on the power inverter from VoLtTech. The photos show details of this inverter after removing it from the package and using for charging a variety of devices. The listing gives a good description of the features and specifications of this inverter. I found it to be a well made product with no visual flaws or operational issues. It uses Dewalt 20 volt batteries for a power source which is not included and you must supply. The inverter itself has two 110 outlets and two USB type A outlets while the Dewalt battery adapter has one USB A and one USB C outlets. All the USB outlets are powered when the battery is connected, the 110 outlets are powered when the switch is turned on. You can see in the photos I connected a multitude of devices for charging. It did an excellent job of charging them and I didn’t experience any overheating from the inverter. The devices all charged at the same rate as they do when I charge them individually. I don’t have a device or meter to test the maximum output, but in my opinion I think it’s safe to say that using something that draws as much wattage as this unit is capable of might possibly exceed the capacity of the inverter. At least I’ve found using devices that stay below the rated capacity of inverters will prevent problems. This inverter is perfect for what the the listing states, low power devices. It’s a great power source for travel, camping, outdoor activities, emergency situations, etc. This Dewalt 20 volt battery powered inverter from VoLtTech worked very well for me and I recommend it!

The VoLtTech 300W Power Inverter caught my attention as a potential solution for powering devices in my 2006 sedan, which isn't exactly known for its electrical capabilities, especially when connecting modern accessories. The product listing was a bit confusing; it initially indicated compatibility with DeWalt batteries clearly pictured when I purchased it; but later displayed a picture and description for a Milwaukee item when it came time for review. After further reading, I learned that the inverter is designed to work with both brands, depending on the model selected. I'm curious whether the same model is used to accommodate both DeWalt and Milwaukee batteries, with only the color of the unit differing. Physically, the inverter feels sturdy and well-built. However, inserting the DeWalt 20V battery into the model I received (which was painted red) required more force than I expected, which was concerning at first. A quick tap on the counter helped seat the battery properly, and once connected, the inverter functioned as intended. It powered my laptop and charged my phone without any issues. Style: No Battery For Dewalt 20V
Just arrived and I had high hopes for this. I wanted to see if it would provide reasonably high power based on its 300 Watt rating. I attempted to run a mid-sized fan on it. I initially tested the fan directly on a good outlet with a wattmeter. The fan draws 210 watts consistently. I connected a freshly charged 20V 5AH Dewalt battery to the device. I connected the fan and noticed it ran but sounded a little slow. I checked the output of the inverter with the same wattmeter and found the inverter was only supplying 170 Watts. I thought it might be the battery, so I changed it out. I connected a brand-new Dewalt 60/20V 10AH battery and retested it. The inverter still only provided 170 Watts again. It appears the device does not handle a moderate load very well at all. I am sure it will operate smaller loads just fine as I also tested a laptop charger of 65 Watts and it was fine. I would only recommend this device for use with smaller loads of about 100 Watts or less. Clearly nothing very substantial. I will keep this as a backup for camping for powering smaller loads only.

This inverter is incredibly handy for on-the-go power using Dewalt batteries. I used it to run a fan and charge my phone during a camping trip, and it worked flawlessly. The dual AC outlets and USB ports make it super versatile. Just remember, it doesn’t include the battery, but it’s a great companion if you already own Dewalt 20V tools.
