I needed something to keep the portable generator battery that runs my home during power outage fully charged. I leave the power on and plugged in because it has remote start. This way during the cold winter and snowy nights I can start this from inside and trust the battery is fully charged. I have the control unit under a roof so it stays dry. The solar is on that roof and I will end up having it off the roof soon so the snow does not over power it. This works really well and after year it is holding up and doing exactly what it is suppose to do. It is just enough wattage and you could use the USB for small charges but I have not used that yet.

I purchased this to power my patio shades that came with factory chintzy solar panels and NiMH batteries. Their particular designed KILLED the NiMH batteries so I needed a completely NEW solution. I paired this system with a 12V 6Ah LiFePO4 Lithium Battery and has worked perfectly for over 4 months. So I'm happy!!!

Worked fine for about 10-12 weeks then I noticed that the lights on the regulator were no longer working and it was no longer charging my battery. A few days later I noticed that the wires from the panel to the regulator were melted. Since it was past the 30 day return window I reached out to the company on the email that was included with the instructions but never received a reply from the company. Don't waste your money on this one, I am sure there are better options on Amazon.

The solar panel is okay. Would have been nice if panel could be attached say to a wall, but the u bracket seems to be the only way to attach it to a building. Also the instructions are very vague and poorly written. Says looking a the photo, but there are no photos. Could be better installation instructions.

I have been toying with the idea of putting a solar panel on my toy hauler trailer for a couple of years. Checked this one out and decided to get it. Reviews were good and it was definitely cheap enough. Easy to install the panel, very nice mounting system. Figuring out a place for the controller, and how to run the wires, was a bit of a challenge. Needed more wire to get to the batteries, not very much in this kit. Works great though. Bit of a learning curve to figure out the controller, but very happy with it, and know more dead batteries. It is kind of interesting that the controller has to be hooked to the batteries to work. No battery hooked up, no display on the controller.
