Purchased this little machine to dry out flooded garage. It’s very sturdy, quiet, and easy to use. It has been running continuously since the day it arrived and does a great job. I like that it turns off when the catch tray is full. Gave it four stars because the catch tray is a little difficult to pull out When emptying and has a cover inside that is a nuisance when emptying. Also noticed that the hose needs to be longer and empty into a drain that is lower than the level of the machine. Like a shower rather than a kitchen sink. ... show more

1. I bought this to replace an much more expensive dehumidifier (maybe 2.5x the price). The old one was was great, but finally died! 2. Getting right to the point -for the past 7 months, this model has worked perfectly! It does very well in sucking the humidity out of our (relatively well sealed) 10x12 shed. It is VERY RELIABLE. 3. We don't miss the old machine at all! (Well I do drain this model about every 2.5/3 days, which is on par with the older (bigger) model with a bigger tank that I drained every 4-5 days!). You could use the drain hose option that is included with this model, but we don't. 4. It works well, it can be set for selective humidity levels. It has auto-shutoff when full (and when reaching the desired/set humidity). It is not too big or bulky for our 10x12 location and (not that we matter) it is not too noisy. Sure, you can hear it, but a) it shuts off when the set humidity is reached and b) I did not measure the db level, but it is not terrible! We are getting another for a different spot in our house! This 50 pint dehumidifier worked fine--for one summer. I shut it down, cleaned the filter, and then tried to restart it this season. It runs, but the compressor does not work at all. No moisture is removed, either into the tank or the hose. It is now worthless. I tried to contact the third party seller (MAX.WE US) but the phone number listed is international and does not work. I contacted Amazon, and they could only accept returns for 30 days. The product says it has a 2 year limited warranty, but I have received NO word on that from the manufacturer. (I emailed [email protected] first email address that Amazon gave me did not work.) I will update if they provide any satisfaction, but in the meantime I am going to buy a dehumidifier in an actual store where I can take it for returns if it doesn't work. This one replaced one that lasted 6 seasons with a 5 year warranty. Products for $200+ should last more than a few months. ... show more
