It really has to be good for me to give a 5 star rating but, I did in this case. First thing I noticed was everything was included to assemble the top handle and the tool tray. Next, there were caps with a steel washer covering the ends of the posts that the top handle slides down on to attach it to the main frame. THEN, what seals the deal, is the loc tite that has been applied to the screws to keep them from backing themselves out. After assembling, my 225lbs stepped on all 4 and it’s very solid with nice wide steps. Would have to say it’s Heavy Duty and worth buying!! ... show more

Our house has tall ceilings and replacing light bulbs, etc is a pain with our regular step stool. This gives us the added height needed to reach those hard to reach areas in tall cabinets and to change light fixtures and filters. Sturdy. The added shelf is very handy.

Used for utility step ladder around home. Make sure internal bolt/nut securing hand hold and step rail are maximum tight crushing hand hold tube inserted into step rail tube. Otherwise hand hold will wobble throwing off balance.

I got the 4 step with the tray/handle bar. It is average sturdiness (in comparison to a full-on heavy full-aluminum ladder). I love it and it fills my needs for my 200lb and 5’6” body, I can confidently reach up to 8’4”. (I measured for you all!). The handle bar/tray is a necessity if you are afraid of heights like me, it helps with keeping you ‘grounded’. I don’t think this could safely hold the 500lbs it advertises though. That seems unreasonable for anything but a heavy-duty industrial-full aluminum ladder, which this is not. This has plastic steps that are bendy with my own weight. I would not trust this for anyone over 230-250lbs to be honest, that is my opinion based on how the steps bend when I step on them. ... show more

I bought this to reach the top cabinets in my new apartment. I am very pleased with this one. The steps are plastic, but it's very sturdy. I weigh about 250lbs and use this thing at least once a week. I also like that's it's very lightweight, especially since I've been having some muscle weakness and joint pain a lot recently.
