I purchased this step ladder mainly for the color. However, I wanted something that would be sleek/slim and easy to maneuver. It folds well and I was able to hang it on my ironing board rack with the board. When I stand on the ladder it does rock a little and the steps are super thin. I don't feel that it is very sturdy and safe for heavier people. I'm 5'4" 143 lbs and I am very careful climbing using it. It just not feel sturdy enough for the price I paid for it. I have an older one I purchased from Lowe's that is too short but it is safer than this one. This one I use mainly to climb up and reach food in the kitchen cabinets and closets which I can't reach. It comes in one piece already and the legs aren't completely balanced and it rocks just a little when climbing. ... show more

I bought this for a 108 year old home in an historic district which has original cabinetry. Kitchen ladders to reach those high cabinets used to be common - you can find modern looking step ladders easily enough, but I wanted something visually appropriate to the house. You can find truly original wooden step ladders, but they're either of dubious quality, or eye-wateringly expensive. Neither made them a good option for an investment/rental home. This one looked to fit the bill. Modern materials, good looks, fair price. It's got some weight to it, but not too heavy to move. It's sturdy, held up to my 205lbs with no problem - and I jumped around a bit to test it. The design gives you a rail to hold or lean against. Plenty tall enough for anyone over 5' to reach items on a ceiling height shelf (this home has 9' ceilings). I'm 5'-10" for scale. The footprint is nice and wide. No flimsy feeling, quite solid. Plus, it folds intuitively and folds nice and flat. Slides between an appliance and a wall. Needs about 2.5" space. And it's reasonably priced. I'm pretty delighted at this, so much so that I'll probably buy another one for my residence. Good job! ... show more

The height works well for my tall kitchen. Looks nice enough that I do not have to put it away all the time. I feel safe when standing on it. I am disappointed the "wood "steps are plastic and it does hurt the look.
