They worked immediately and with 0 problems. Buy these for Italy. NOTE: THESE ARE NOT CONVERTERS, BUT THEY ARE ADAPTORS. You will need converters as well if your device is not dual-voltage to convert from 110 to 220. Your iPhone, iPad, and Nikon camera battery chargers ARE dual voltage--no converters needed. You may need the 2 prong just in case but the 3 prong worked for our hotel in Sorrento. check your appliances and ask the hotel if you need 2 or 3 prongs. We bought both just to be safe.

These worked great while traveling in Europe for a couple weeks. No problems or issues at all. They really allow you to avoid having to carry multiple adapters or a power strip.
