    • Perfect setup for multiple power tools that require switching

The media could not be loaded. 4/24 update - work so well I bought a second one for my bead blaster/compressor/vac setup for my bead blaster/compressor/vacuum. Terrific device! Original review: Great switch for automatically activating a wide variety of power tools when needed. In my case, I use a 40 year old Bosch shop vac with my portable power Miter box and table saw. It’s annoying running back and forth to the Bosch vac to turn it on and off and because the vac is old, it’s loud and annoying. I thought about getting a new shop vac with this sort of a switch built in but some of those switches have very low power handling capacity like 6 amps. Plus my Bosch vac and I have a LONG history together - we’re “connected” and we are both loud and annoying. What I like about this switch: - 15 amp capacity - can plug in two machines that power up the vac when turned on - adjustable delay so don’t blow breakers on machine startup - 2 mounting methods included. I created a 3rd mounting method with the 3/4 inch birch plywood What I don’t like: - wish it had a metal enclosure, not plastic - wish the 110 volt pigtail was a bit longer, like 2 feet As I mentioned, I added a piece of 3/4” birch plywood to act as a base for this switch to prevent tipping and damage. The plywood base also makes the switch mobile when I’m moving the saws and vac to different locations. Overall, I really like this product. Hope that helps. PS - pardon the low tech video demo. Bought so that I could more easily use the various pieces of equipment in my wood shop with the dust collection system. Works as described. I went one step further and used a power strip in one of the plugs, and it worked with several additional pieces of equipment. Only issue I ran into was trying to power it all with my generator, as the amperage with my large dust collection unit, plus a planer or table saw was too much for the generator and tripped the unit breakers. NOT an issue with the outlet device, but rather with my generator. Only sharing in case someone else has the "great" idea to power with a generator. ... show more

This is a nice switch that does exactly what it is supposed to do, and a bit more. There is a programmable Start delay for the switched device (110v vac sys., etc.), so that it doesn't pull the load from two devices simultaneously through one 110v. outlet, minimizing the risk of a circuit breaker overload. Also, a programmable off-delay for the switched device , so that it keeps running for a brief period after the load device is turned off. (Clearing-out the dust in a vacuum system). Plus manual on/off of the switched device. So, all-in-all a very good, well designed automatic switch. It's worked great for me. ... show more
