This is a 12 watt LED ceiling light which is equivalent to a 125 watt incandescent bulb. We got it to use in our laundry room. The spectrum is 5000 K which is the bright white light. It's amazingly small at only 7 inches in diameter and slightly more than 1/2 inch thick. Even though I knew it was only 7 inches I was surprised at how small it looked when it arrived. Its low profile really hugs the ceiling. You hardly notice it until you turn it on. Installation was pretty easy. It comes with a metal bar that attaches to your junction box. There are the usual three wires to connect; green, white and black. You basically put the light against the bar and turn it slightly in a clockwise direction to secure it. Two screws and three wire caps are included as well as instructions. It can be used with a dimmer switch and it can be used in a damp location. Just what we needed. ... show more

This unit does exactly what it says - the install went on without a hitch, all the required hardware was provided, the mounting bracket design had long continuous slots that allowed for a large range of adjustment. The one thing that could have been improved is the light to bracket fastening design. there is a little hook where the light hangs from the bracket, and the way this work is that you have to push the light fixture ups against the ceiling, and then let if fall just a bit. This means that the fixture will not always be totally flush against the ceiling, but will have a tiny gap. Now this may not be an issue for the most part, but something to be aware of. I usually look at reviews before buying anything, but not often write reviews. When I checked this light, the shape is really what I wanted and the price was amazing, but there was only one review. I decided to give it a try and bought a 3 pack package. They are even better than I expected. The low profile makes the lights look like inside the ceiling. And they are super brighter. This light fixture is small (only 7" diameter) and very low profile (less than 1" thick) but bright LED light that I installed in a bathroom with a low ceiling. It's exactly what I was looking for -- inconspicuous, doesn't drop below the surface of the ceiling, but much brighter than the light fixture I was replacing. There's not much work to install this fixture, and if you've done it before, the only challenge would be solving whatever problems you find with your electrical box and old wiring underneath it. The mounting bracket for the fixture was shipped attached to the back of the fixture, so look at it to see how it fits onto the housing of the fixture as you're removing it. You'll need to attach it back the same way after the wiring is connected. The light is very bright, so if you want to install a light switch dimmer, this fixture is compatible. ... show more
